We just picked up our 2010 Odyssey Touring at Peters Honda in Nashua, NH on Saturday and paid $37,247 ($36,290 + $710 destination + $247 documentation/inspection and we do not have sales tax). I did not think that was a bad price and there was no back-and-forth. I said I would buy it for $37k and they said okay.

We also had quotes of $31,916 for a 2010 EX-L w/ RES and $30,470 for a 2010 EX-L from Peters. This includes destination but there is a $247 documentation fee.

Does anyone have experience purchasing a 2009 Odyssey EX-L in the Detroit Metro, MI area?

I got offered invoice pricing of $31,500 for 09 Odyssey EX-L w/ RES (excludes tax, title, fee, delivery charge). Does anyone know if I can do better and which dealership? Thanks...

That same van could have been purchased for ~$28K in June.

If you going to spend over $30K, get a 2010, not a 2009 that has been sitting forever on dealer lot.

For us, we would never lease. We consider leasing as the easiest way to waste our money. It is rare to find a case where leasing is better financially than buying.

hey island van. I hear you. i had a gift of some $ or I may have looked closer. i misspoke on the crash rating. I looked again at the Honda site comparison which is kinda helpful. Sienna has 5 star front passenger ,but 4 star front driver. The Ody tray in the middle will fold down which I kinda like cuz i always have stuff and may want it down. It is interesting to figure out the differences cuz they are so close. If you click on the pix for each car on that Honda site which is kinda neat (they show you a close up for each side by side) the back of the cars look the same as far as the height to load something. The other differences are probably moon roof and things of lesser importance.

Purchased a 2010 EX-L last night $32K OTD by laplas

I've been looking for a 2010 EX-L for a while, and kept reading this forum. Now it's time to report some numbers for you folks and esp. for those who live in Charlotte area.

I purchased a 2010 EX-L Polished Metal with mud guard and wheel locks for $32000 OTD that includes everything ($710 destination, 3% tax, $499 admin fee, $68 tag, etc).

The dealer I bought from is about 40 miles away from Charlotte city. They accepted my offered price and would like to get the vehicle from another dealership for me because they initially didn't have the color I want. By the time I arrived there, everything was ready for test driving and sign up paperworks. Their kind service and quick turn-around are well worth the 80 miles round trip driving.

I arrived at home too late last night so haven't got time to really enjoy the van yet...but will do it soon! By the way, forget about the local "BIG" dealers who wouldn't budge with you, you may find good deals if you are willing to look around and further a little bit. Thanks all for your information.

And you paid $499 for admin fee? Isn't it a bullshxt fee that we should never pay?

Either admin or doc fee whatever they called...you can certainly opt to not pay. But you need to find a dealership that would like to sell you car without such BS fee. Good luck!
