I have to say I love this forum! Thanks to all the postings, I was able to cut through a lot of bull and get right down to business. We'd visited one dealer on Thursday. Not looking to buy (yet) but to get a battery replaced. Decided to take a test drive. Drove the light blue (whatever the official color is, I don't remember) and loved it. So that evening I hit the two other Honda dealers websites and got a call back Friday. Since the lowest sale price I saw was for 28,500 (St. Louis) that's the number I went with... got back $28,900. So I took that figure to dealer where I test drove and we walked out this afternoon with my EX-L with Res (+ pinstripes, wheel locks, splash guards) for $28,715 + TTL.... thanks to everyone who posted their experience here... It certainly made things alot easier for me!!! |

I purchased an EX-L (ocean mist) at Honda of Freehold for $27154 (including $710 dest) +TTL this past Sat. Good experience. All negotiation done by email and phone calls. Paper work takes 2.5 hours. VIP Honda also seems to have good prices, however, I didn't hear back from them in time before I made my decision. Color selection is getting thin in this area. If you want more info, email me at andover823 at yahoo dot com |

I've been pricing Odysseys for several months now trying to time a good deal. I wanted to play the right conditions between the bad economy, poor sales, higher dealer incentives, and the new 2010 models arrival. Last night I met the perfect storm at Gentile Honda in Racine, WI. I was quoted - in writing - a price of $31,475 for a NEW 2009 Touring w/ PAX. I thought they made a mistake, but it was no typo. The price was $31,475 + TTL, and a $149 doc fee. Well I did not think I could get a better deal so I jumped all over it. I got a fair trade on my old Explorer and was basically OTD for $33,000 and some change. I should say I generally dislike car sales people, but I will admit that everyone at Gentile Honda was fantastic. We closed this deal in less than 6 hours from the time I got my quote to the time I drove home. They stayed open an extra 90 minutes for me because I live a ways away. Everyone was fair and honest and upfront. The fantastic deal they offered was nice too! Unfortunately, I think I ran away with their last Touring model. But I would certainly recommend you check with them if you are in the Chicagoland/Milwaukee area.

| I got ripped off on my warranty, paid 1150 for a 84 mo, 80k miles 0ded honda care plan. Good news is I can fix it. I called Honda Care Direct and they said basically you can buy a Honda Warranty from any dealer ship in the USA up to 6000k miles on your car. you only have 60 days to cancel and pre purchased warranties from original purchase date. My finance guy lied to me and told me i could only buy it then or won't be able to. The correct answer is 6000k miles or less. Even the other finance guy at the dealer told me the correct answer. I got local quotes for 825.00 and internet quotes for various states, lowest price 750. For some reason if you purchase the warranty online from a dealer they can give you a lower price than one over the phone or in person. | |

It's a Touring, so it comes fairly loaded with the RES, Nav, heated leather, parking sensors, etc. I closed the deal so late I did not bother checking what else it came with. Even naked, it was very nice. I'll poke around more tonight. I have nothing to complain about. This was about as good a car buying experience - from price to service to financing to quality of product - as any consumer can possibly ask for. |
