I just purchased a Honda Odessey in your area on Saturday 6/26. I got the Honda EXL, no RES and no NAV, I paid 26,814- this includes the destination fee of 670. I had to pay taxs 1628.00 (I live in IN) and $151.00 doc fee, which I think you can probably get down to at least 105, b/c the Napelton Honda- which is River Oaks Honda of Lansing, gave me that doc fee. I purchased my car at Community Honda of Orland Park only b/c I got the price of 26,914 from River Oaks Honda, then called Orland and they said they would beat it (only ended up 100 less) and they gave me about what I wanted for my trade in. On my accord my doc fee was only $50 so I know you can negotiate the doc fee. Hope this helps. River Oaks and Community were the only ones able to deal with me.

Looking at a quote of $29,500 +TTL in MA. What do you guys think? I think it is too good to pass up since we are somewhat particular about the color we want.

EX-L NAV/RES in SFO Bay Area by vsaxena

Bought EX-L NAV/RES with dealer installed Back Up Sensors for $31,5xx including destination. Smooth deal all the way. Also got Honda's 3.9% financing for 60 months, with zero down.

According to truecar.com, prices have been creeping since the March lows. People waiting to get a car should seriously consider buying now before the new model shows up, while their choice of colors is available. Chances are that at least in the first few months the discounting will be limited since it supposed to be a redesign. I personally prefer not to buy redesigned cars in their first year of production, since the first runs are prone to engineering defects and it takes some time to iron out the kinks.

Mentally I split the $7K discount off sticker into two components: first half is the poor economy discount, the second half is the end of the model run discount. I think prices are lower in SoCal and other parts of the country (the MA deal above looks really good).

EX-L with RES in TN by irishmommy

I have to say I love this forum! Thanks to all the postings, I was able to cut through a lot of bull and get right down to business. We'd visited one dealer on Thursday. Not looking to buy (yet) but to get a battery replaced. Decided to take a test drive. Drove the light blue (whatever the official color is, I don't remember) and loved it. So that evening I hit the two other Honda dealers websites and got a call back Friday. Since the lowest sale price I saw was for 28,500 (St. Louis) that's the number I went with... got back $28,900. So I took that figure to dealer where I test drove and we walked out this afternoon with my EX-L with Res (+ pinstripes, wheel locks, splash guards) for $28,715 + TTL....

thanks to everyone who posted their experience here... It certainly made things alot easier for me!!!

Purchased EX-L in central NJ by sheepsube

I purchased an EX-L (ocean mist) at Honda of Freehold for $27154 (including $710 dest) +TTL this past Sat. Good experience. All negotiation done by email and phone calls. Paper work takes 2.5 hours.

VIP Honda also seems to have good prices, however, I didn't hear back from them in time before I made my decision.

Color selection is getting thin in this area.

I was quoted $26444 by Metro Honda for an EX-L. They were the lowest, but after pressing them several times, they admitted that the price did not include destination charge.
I finally bought at Honda of Freehold (see post #23280)

2009 Touring w/ PAX OTD for $33,000!! by mrmunchy7

I've been pricing Odysseys for several months now trying to time a good deal. I wanted to play the right conditions between the bad economy, poor sales, higher dealer incentives, and the new 2010 models arrival.

Last night I met the perfect storm at Gentile Honda in Racine, WI.

I was quoted - in writing - a price of $31,475 for a NEW 2009 Touring w/ PAX. I thought they made a mistake, but it was no typo. The price was $31,475 + TTL, and a $149 doc fee.

Well I did not think I could get a better deal so I jumped all over it. I got a fair trade on my old Explorer and was basically OTD for $33,000 and some change.

I should say I generally dislike car sales people, but I will admit that everyone at Gentile Honda was fantastic. We closed this deal in less than 6 hours from the time I got my quote to the time I drove home. They stayed open an extra 90 minutes for me because I live a ways away. Everyone was fair and honest and upfront. The fantastic deal they offered was nice too!

Unfortunately, I think I ran away with their last Touring model. But I would certainly recommend you check with them if you are in the Chicagoland/Milwaukee area.

Sounds like a good deal. Can you post the dealer here. I am in the market for an EX. What are the other fees?

I should add that I am well aware of the problems with the PAX tires. Had I not gotten a discount of some $10,000+ below MSRP, I would NOT have bought the Touring w/ PAX. I was looking for a Touring w/o PAX or an EXL w/ R/N. But this deal on the PAX Touring seemed just oo good to pass up.

Hi mrmunchy7,

Congrats to you!
Wow! I wish I could get this deal too! Very nice!
Too bad I got mine early May 2009 for EXL RN.
What else does it come with (any accessories)?
What color is it?
How many mileage is it when you get the minivan?
