Prices in the Twin Cities tend to be a bit higher than some other areas (like Chicago), that you might see on this board. There was a dealer from the Twin Cities that used to comment on this board (mplshondadlr), but I haven't seen a post from them in a while.

Congrats on the baby; our 2nd child is due in October, and is the reason why we could use a mini-van...Extended road trips to visit in-laws in Iowa will be challenging in our 2007 Ford Edge (not much cargo room) hence the need for an Odyssey.

Just an FYI - the cloth seats in the LX/EX will offer a tad bit more front drivers/passenger side legroom vs the leather clad Odysseys...I noticed the additional legroom in an EX after sitting in a few EX-L (was under the impression that they were identical, but not so)...Salesman at Schlossmann informed me that the seat tracking/extra cushion of the leather takes away nearly 1" of legroom; I'm 6'4" so every little bit is noticable, and it counts!

I'm hoping that I'll be in the position to purchase in May; dunno what the inventories will look like later in summer, or fall, but now there's quite a few to choose from.

Congrats on your 2nd! We're on kid #3 - currently in a Mazda 5 which we'll be keeping for my husband's work commuter. We just took our first road trip in the Mazda 5 - from Madison over to Omaha, NE and then to Wichita, KS! Iowa in an Odyssey should be a breeze for your family!

I did notice the reduced interior space in the EX-L but only by looking at the technical specs in the product guide. My salesman said it was also because of the sun roof taking up head room. I'm barely over 5' so it's not an issue for me. My husband and I have not gone in for a test drive yet. I have been gathering more info before we face the sharks again! It'll be more my car than his though he is just under 6' so he may or may not notice the leg room. I'll have to ask! I like the leather (my kids spill a lot and leave muddy footprints on the seat backs!), the heated seats and the power lift gate on the EX-L but I'm not fully decided yet between that and the EX.

I haven't been using my real name or email for my quote inquiries. Do you want to ask your salesman at Schlossman if he can go any lower on the sale price of two Odysseys? I'm not ready to buy yet anyway and I want to see what the May incentives will be but I'd like to narrow down who's worth my time to work with.

I've been shopping for an '09 Odyssey Touring (no PAX) for the past week in Texas and have several quotes from dealers. Here's the best and worst so far:

$34,847 + TT&L

$37,256 + TT&L

The rest are all in the low $35's. I would also love to know what other prices people are getting out there. Thanks!

I'm not going to negotiate until I'm ready to buy which will hopefully be in May (once we get our condo re-financed)...The $24,237 for an EX is the only quote we got (other dealers were a bit more, and we're not really interested in the EX-L)...Keep in mind the price includes the $2500 manufacturer to dealer incentive which is being "passed on" to us buyers...I'm thinking of "playing it cool" - go to the dealer, and test drive the one I'd like to buy, but hold off until I get home, or wait until the next day to place my offer via their website.

I've been keeping an eye on Sclossmann's inventory - not much has changed these past few weeks - which is a good thing for us.
