We weren't looking for an EXL with DVD, so we didn't get pricing on that. There are only a few 2008s left, from what I understood. The only ones we saw were plain EXLs, so I can't say if any are left that have DVDs.
As for the difference in pricing, it seemed like most dealerships were passing the $2250 manufacturer marketing incentive on to the customer for the 2008 Odysseys, trying to get them off their lots. I had at least three dealerships tell me they had 2008s left, and all of them gave us prices in the $26600 range for a new 08 EXL.
I would highly recommend Honda of Seattle if you work or live near downtown. The whole process was so relaxed with them, which we really appreciated.

#21716 of 30571 Quotes in St. Louis for 2009 EX-L
Feb 26, 2009 (3:27 pm)
I've been donkeypunching this afternoon, and have gotten 6 quotes in the St. Louis area for a 2009 EX-L, no nav and no dvd. They range from $28,664 to $27,995, plus tax, title and license (the quotes include processing fees, etc.).
Thoughts on whether there's much downward room from here?

#21718 of 30571 Odyssey EX-L 08 vs. 09 pricing
Feb 26, 2009 (9:13 pm)
We're in the market for an Odyssey EX-L ( No res or nav ). We're located in Georgia.
I have a quote of 27,900 +tax/title/fees (don't know the out the door total yet) for an 2009 at one place and a quote of 26,300 + tax/title/fees (i think 30,400 OTD) on an 2008 at another.
We're leaning towards the 09 at this difference. Any input? Which one would you go for?

I believe the only difference between a 2008 and 2009 mode at the EX-L trim level (with no RES/NAVI) is the following, so be sure to factor them into your decision. If I missed anything someone please correct me.
- 2009 model Variable Cylinder Mgmt can drop down to 3 or 4 cylinders, 2008 can only drop to 4. Might improve mileage somewhat.
- A power rear liftgate is standard on the 2009 (had to get touring trim in 2008 to get this)
We already have our eyes on a couple new 2008 EX-L models floating around our market and are waiting for the incentive resets on 3/3. Can't see how they would drop the incentives for 2008 models; we're hoping they will go up. A lot.

Sorry, it will remain unchanged.

Javed - I would do the 09.
I know Jimprofit talked about a few options available on the 09 that you couldn't get on the 08.
Above what jimprofit had posted, you also get on the 09 EXL
Power sliding Doors - both sides
Rear view camera that appears in your rear view mirror.
My wife & I were going back & forth between 08 Touring (only way to get those options at a much higher price) or an 09 (that is newer and had those options.)
We ultimately settled on the 09 EXL because the 08 Touring, though had those options, it also had other options / gizmos we didn't want, need and couldn't justify paying the higher price. Plus, the 09 is newer...

Do you mean the Rearview Camera is standard on EXL basic model (no RES/no NAV)?
