There's a brand new 2008 Odyssey deal in there. Have you emailed ALL the dealers (even those with one or less in stock - they might be hungry enough to do a dealer trade)?

I got a quote for EX-L with RES for 26999, which would be OTD for about 29365 in Florida...it seems like a good deal. I did the bidding thing, where I had dealers bid against one another. There is still one dealer, about 75 miles away who says he will beat this price by "atleast $500" but wont give me a quote, either written or over the phone, he says I have to come it to get the pricing...is he blowing smoke...the conversations were NOT good over the phone, he was really evasive/pushy and had a shady feeling...Can he really only offer me a better "deal" in person rather than fax/email/phone? Or is he going to bring me in for a hard sell.

One reason -- he wants you in the door so he can pressure you into taking a bad deal. Personally I wouldn't waste my time as that guy sounds very shady to me.

I have been offered 35,800 + 700 (destination) for a 2009 Touring (no pax) in the Raleigh, NC area. They are out of 08's. Does this sound good? Thanks.

So after I had the wife spend about 4 hours calling almost every local dealer in SoCal, I found about 8 new EX-Ls w/ RES & NAVI - one of them being the white one mentioned above that had 5k miles on it. After driving to Penske Honda in Ontario I have to say they are rude and unorganized. A sales rep hung up on my wife yesterday when she refused to give her phone number (I don't think we're allowed to post names or I would). My wife did call again (she's persistent) and spoke to a nice rep who said there was a Green Metallic (probably the most popular color) so we went there first thing in the morning. 1/2 way through the test drive I realized it was a 2009 (saw the key tag sitting at a red light - I didn't even bother looking at the grill). They had no 2008 w/ RES & NAVI. He assumed it was an '08 by where it was parked. An understandable mistake if you're lazy - all they have to do is look up inventory. Wife and I then drove to Honda Cars of Corona since they had a black/ivory one left. Car looked a little beat up inside for having only 25 miles. Tried to haggle with the sales rep and he refused to budge for 20 minutes. 5 hours later we agreed to 28,750 plus 1,400 for 7/100K extended warranty + TTL. It had a protection pack on it which I don't need for 450, but I know they can't strip that off the car easily so I was willing to go above the 29.5k mentioned here. I wanted to see if I could get the online extended warranty mentioned here but I remember somebody said CA residents couldn't buy it and the finance guy kept underbidding until I agreed to 1400 (I paid only 1k for my 2006 TL which I bought for 32.5k). All docs and fees were normal (not inflated) prices. Woodland Hills had a black ivory, Vista has a Blue, Palmdale (have fun driving there) has a silver. Think there are a few burgundy as well, a white one somewhere, a demo white in Irvine. Let me guys know what you think of the above deal and good luck with the hunt for 2008 EX-L w/ RES & NAVI - in SoCal it's getting slim pickings.

I have spent the last 4 days wasting my time. I am looking for an 08 EX-L with RES (no nav). Nobody in Wisconsin has one, apparently, but that doesn't stop them all from telling me they do. This is what happens (it's like they circulate a manual telling them how to do this). I call, asking if they have any of these in stock. They say yes, why don't I come in and check it out. I say what color. They say they're not sure, can they call me back later, because they are so busy, or can I just come in. I ask them to call me back. They don't. Half a day later, I call back. They say they have a gray one. I'm so excited! I ask for a price quote. They say they'll have the internet person email me a quote. They don't. I call back several hours later. The internet person says they "were just emailing me right now" with the quote. I get the quote. It looks good. I say lets do the deal. I ask to confirm that it's gray. They go check. "oh shoot, that one sold". we do have a white one with the Nav package, would you be interested in that? I try not to swear at them. I got the same song and dance at 4 different dealers. So I gave up and bought a Routan with 0% financing for 72 months. I would've preferred the Odyssey, but I couldn't deal with that crap anymore.
