I am pulling the trigger tomorrow and will make up my mind tonight on whether I want an EXL or EXL - RES. I have received many quotes and have it norrowed down to one dealership, Grand Honda in Elmhurst, IL, who is offering the best rates in the area. Price for EXL Base Price - 24,675 (Including Destination) + TT and all the other crap (I'm in Chicago so I will have to pay the insane 9% tax on the car price as well as the 3500 incentive.) OTD PRICE - 28,320.04 Price for EXL - RES Base Price - 26,475 (Including Destination) + TT and all the other crap (I'm in Chicago so I will have to pay the insane 9% tax on the car price as well as the 3500 incentive.) OTD PRICE - 30,286.54 I asked if any additional accessories will be thrown in and the answer was no since this is the absolute low they can go for the price. Tell me what you guys think. Any suggestions/tips will be helpful.

Replying to: phatlipboardz (Sep 23, 2008 1:03 pm) In other words, the price you and the dealer agree on minus the trade (If any) is the amount taxable and thus becomes the 'actual purchase price'. Which dealer in Colorado? |

I have been very frustrated to get the popular price which those people got in other state, e.g EXL for $25,3000 and EXL-RES for $26,600. My best quote of EXL-RES is $28,092, plus tax only from Fisher Honda. I haven't sit down to dig out what else I have to pay. I am very dispointed by Burt-Kuni Honda. I only got a phone call from "Go Honda" which they are willing to give the price with the invoice price-$31,282 (including destination charge) minus $3,500, plus the dealer handling fee ($499). There are still a lot of 2008 Odyssey on the lot, I have no idea why the Colorado dealers still want to sell the vans with higher price than other state. Thanks! Jian

Replying to: redshoe9 (Sep 21, 2008 1:17 am) Sale Price: $28700 Doc Fee: $150.00 Tax: $2345. New Plates: 143.00 OTD: $31,338.00 But it was not on APHC special 2.99 financing , also finance guy tricked me and sold extended 7/100k/0Ded warranty for $1885 (which i know is a ripoff). I Read the fine prints and it has 60 day cancellation time period. I am looking into online warranty but not sure which one to get. Dealer actually warned me of buying any warranties other than the dealer, mentioning that Honda will not honor it if they win the class action lawsuit. Is that True? Also he added $3500 in price cost adding taxes on that which I argued. so the taxes little went up to $200. There is always a Catch 22 with these guys no matter what you do.
