All,
After some research, my wife and I have decided to go for a 2008 Odyssey EX-L RES & Nav in the DFW (Dallas / Fort Worth) area.
Here is what my wife and I got from our first dealer:
MSRP: 35,810
Destination and Handling: 670
Protection (wheel locks, mud guards, cargo net): 699
Pin Stripe: 299
Tint: 299
Discount: -4,241
Sales Tax (6.5%): 2,153
Tag/Registration: 59
Smog: 21
Title: 33
Deputy: 5
Doc Fees: 50
Road and Bridge: 13
Total OTD 35,870
The add-ons like protection, tint, and pin stripe are already on the vehicles on the lot. Are any of the items mentioned above negotiable? He said that the $4,241 discount is really good. 0.9% financing available on this vehicle. If I do not avail it, the price will go down further by 1,000.
Any inputs?
Thanks!

its seems that you can still bargain a little given that its end of the year .. Honda is trying to get rid of inventory ... I heard some dealers are giving $4000 less invoice price....

We decided tonight to buy a Odyssey EX-L with NAV and RES. I thought i read a post on this site previously (months ago) about how to/what to include in email inquiries. I will buy a car ASAP, and want to stress this to the dealers, as long as the price is right.
Thanks!

Hold on. There is a $4000 incentive below the invoice price. I got the following from another site.
2008 Odyssey EX-L RES+NAV with Towing Package and Sundries
31.6 K Out-The-Door (North carolina) with 0.9% financing.
I am looking for 2008 Odyssey EX-L RES and the lowest quote I got was $28,100 (on road), including 6% MD tax, tags, Destination and processing Fee

I did a deal for a 2008 EXL up in the Northeast for $26,212 (including destination). I am satisfied with the price. Probably could have squeezed a few more dollars if I pushed it but it wasn't worth it. My approach was to zero in on 3 dealers, get as much of the negotiation done on the phone and then land at one dealer nearby to finalize the deal. If I then stood up and went to the second or third dealers perhaps I could have dropped the price by a few dollars but I didn't care to. They are all anxious to move the 2008s and the $2,500 trunk money from Honda certainly helped get the deal. Don't forget about that. Do your researh, read forums like these and strike. You can never find the true bottom but I'm guessing this is fairly close and seems like a fair price. I will add one cautionary note. Once you complete the purchase process, as everyone knows, you are passed along to the accessories department where the dealer tries to sell you stuff (e.g. cargo nets, roof racks, nose covers etc.) in various combinations of packages etc. I was interested in unbundling one add-on, the roof rack. I got a price from the salesman and asked one simple question which was whether I would see the same accessory on their website or some other dealer's website at a lower cost. This caused the salesman to drop the price and I bit. Upon returning home I couldn't resist and searched for the part on the internet and what happens? The very same dealer has the part advertised on their website for substantially less that what I paid! Needless to say, I will get this fixed. I paid for the roof rack separately and is not part of the financing. I will simply return it if they don't credit me for the difference. It goes to show you that no matter how much research you do and how sophisticated a buyer you are, the dealers are sharks and will try to nick you at each step in the process. But after I purchased the vehicle and they sell me some accessory at a higher price than what is posted on their website is an absolute farce.
