I'm waiting for the other person to call me. Most likely will go there late this afternoon. Hopefully we can get around sales people and talk to the general manager directly. I'm also considering RES, but only willing to pay $500~600 extra. If they would not lower EXL price, I'd try to ask them throw in a DVD.

Just took delivery of EX-L yesterday! Included window tint and mudguards at no additional charge.
It went VERY smoothly, as well as one could hope, with no surprises or pressure. Took about a little over 2 hrs. total from test drive to reading & signing paperwork. I'll post a full review later in the dealerships section under Sterling McCall Honda.
As expected: sell price: 27036 + TTL = 28981
(Add $1000 more if financed w/ Honda special APR)

BTW, I hope more people will post reviews (on sales or service) on the dealerships!
Even though there were only a few reviews, it helped me to choose between two places. Besides that, one salesman seemed pushier than the other
(bad vibes).

I spoke with someone at Gillman Ft. Bend and he said Gillman is picking up the cost to promote the 0% APR, as they "really need to move their inventory." Give them a call to confirm this.

Good luck on the group buy. I think a selling price of 26,500-26,600 is not unreasonable.

It sounded you had very pleasant experience and congratulations! Your info is really helpful. We shall try the "no-cost" 0% then. I'm looking forward to reading your detaled review (please give us a link).

How many dealerships have you visited before you went to Kingwood?

liveandletlive: Are you going to join us? We plan to go there, say 4~5pm. When are you off from work? Please drop us a line.

crvguy, i'm in zanesville and have a quote on an exl-res and navi for 450.00/month for 3 years with zero out of pocket and dealer picking up the first month, (total for me of 35 payments) 12,000 miles per year. Let me know if you are interested in teaming up. This is the best deal i've seen on the board for this package. We can probably make it better if we go together. Thanks

I'm NE of ATL and interested. I'm looking to make a deal within the next two weeks, either before or after the current incentives expire.

Right Time to buy EX-L by gaqua

Experts and other buyers out there...

Please advise if this (week preceding labor day weekend) is the right time to buy an EX-L?

I only see the Mfr finance incentives and do not see $2000 or $2500 off in lieu of mfr financing that Honda offered earlier.

Should one wait? Do you think the earlier offers would be back?

Your thoughts Please....

The involves reading tea leaves. Personal guess (I'm a potential buyer) is that with the high inventory of odys the incentives will continue. What I think they may do is close up that 1500 for financing deals and the 2500 for cash deals. I hope they'll add another $250 or $500 to the cash deals.

But I don't expect that they'll simply cancel or substantially reduce the incentives at this stage in the game.

I leave work in downtown around 5:00. I think I could leave at 4:30 and get there by 5:00 but forgot to bring my check book. I'm ready to buy but not in a rush. I don't want to inconvenience you either, let me know any suggestions on how to coordinate wtihout posting personal contact information in a public place.
