I live in the bay area, san francisco. I did team up with another buyer; sent out emails to all the dealerships around this area. My target price is $25,500 so it's pretty close. I guess it's the right time to make the purchase now. Good luck.
BTW, the car turned out great, everything is fine. I'm worry-free now. Thanks for all your answers.

I plan to purchase a 2008 EX-L with RES in the next week or so and have been requesting quotes from several dealers--local and out of state. I would love to know the name of the dealership you are working with. I am in the St Louis area and the lowest quote I have been able to get is 26,233 w/o RES. The dealers want 1600.00 for RES and 3250.00 for RES/NAV which is utterly ridiculous. I would be willing to give the deal to someone else because the dealers in this area don't really seem to want to work for your business and I would certainly give it to someone who would.

I didn't get the quote for two-car deal. Instead the sales manager said he will introduce "us" to the general manager. I'm free tomorrow. If you want to go bargaining together, please drop me a line.

Hi. I'm still in the market for a EX-L but can easily wait for September unless we get a good deal. I had to work tomorrow regular office hours. What dealer and time you're looking for? I'm ready to buy but not in a rush.

I'd try Gillman since they have 100 EXL (bet they want to get rid off) and we can talk to GM directly. I'd target 26500+TTL for group of two, may be 26200 for three if you want to join. Does that sound reasonable?

anyone interested in forming a group?...25,600 to 25,800 + doc fee should easily get it done for a cash buyer...a group can probably get it a bit lower...business is way off at these places and i have to think they want to unload these cars prior to mid-Sept...
