We never got into details - I was kinda miffed that three days before the finance guy told me the lowest he could go was 6 point something, but I will tell you this was a honda finance loan (4.3%), and he had told me earlier (refering to the ~6% offer) that it was a "simple" car loan with no prepayment penalty. The problem with COSTCO, if you are in a rush, is that you will apply and they will approve you immediatley and send you the check (for $15 overnight or free through snail mail) - you will need to call them to get the details of the loan (term, etc.). You also need to select auto pay for lowest term.

Same North East market here, but much higher prices for me. I'm interested in the 2008 EX-L, but haven't gotten below $29,000. What dealer(s) are you visiting?

#19878 of 30580 End of the Month ~~~

With the end of the month upon us ---is anyone wanting to toss a thought on this great game board ---of car dealings --what the great Honda King ---will decide to offer ?
I am in the upper midwest ---and have to believe that the offers are going to have to improve----..we have been wanting a Odyssey NAV-RES --but the payments are a bit tight in todays economy -...especially when in a matter of a few weeks ---the 2009 's are going to show up ---making a new car purchased today ~~already a year old ~!!! We haven't been "lucky" enough to find anyone coming under the $30,700 ---basic car---no extra bells or whistles --and NO trade in either... Sigh~~~
We are now contemplating the Subaru Forester ---a much smaller vehicle --with manual transmission --(FUN ! )---and a 2009 ----and now coming with its own rebate of $2,000. And an easier price tag -----...want to share your thoughts ?
Jul 29, 2008 (11:25 pm)
Sorry --it is the 2008 Subaru that is being offered with rebate---NOT the 2009.....
Sorry --if this caused anyone heart failure ~!!

Thanks for having this forum! I felt better equipped to go into the dealership to negotiate. Got good prices from Pohanka in NoVA and from Hubert Vestor in NC. West Broad Honda bettered the deal and my OTD price was $26.7, and I didn't have to drive anywhere to pick up a car. Yes, out the door (taxes, freight, $399 processing fee, and DMV fees included). I think I did pretty good since I walked out the door with the TOTAL purchase being $2K less than sticker price! I will say that Pohanka tried really hard to get my business though - maybe I should have tried for $26 even! (I started at $25.5K)

Where did you buy your Ody with res/nav for $33,5K OTD in the Bay Area?? Can you share this info?

Ended up getting the Ex-l w/DVD for 28900..............27,000 ended up being my OTD price after trade. I've been waiting for a year..............finally! Chrysler came back w/$24,490 OTD (leather-heated, dual dvd, back-up camera), but I really liked the Honda better!
