Lemme see if I understand this: You're buying a brand-new Honda Odyssey Touring R&N for $33635.00 which is $7010.00 UNDER MSRP and $3700.00 UNDER invoice, correct?

With such huge discounts on brand-new Odysseys, what do you think would happen to the value of your current Odyssey? Given that people are buying a brand new one for over $7000.00 OFF MSRP?

Better yet, would you buy a 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring with 15000 miles on it for $26000.00? If the answer is no (which I hope it would be) then why would you expect a dealership to buy it for $26000.00?

I just did a quick search for all 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring vans within 250 miles of Minneapolis. The majority are listed at less then $26000.00. There were nine (out of 87) that were priced higher then $26000.00

The internet can sometimes be a double edge sword in setting unattainable expectations.

Not really, the fine print didn't say any restriction except your trade has to be deternmined on condition -

In May I leased 08 Pilot VP 4WD with Honda's special lease and got 120% of 07 Odyssey LX buy out ....

In the beginning the floor manager wanted MSRP, but I complained to the GM, Howe at downtown, HC has 4 Honda dealerships in MA.

#19862 of 30029 Any trade-in program by kyfdx HOST

..that's advertised by the local dealer.. has to be taken with a grain of salt.. They aren't going to pay you more than your trade is really worth, without making it up somewhere else...

120% 'Fair' Value almost = 100% of 'Excellent' Value (Trade in)

Sold my '05 Touring R&N (44K miles) to Carmax ten days ago for $21,000 which was at least a grand more than any new car dealer would give for it. Depending on whether you get a sales tax credit where you live, you might give them a try.

If you have to trade it to Honda, they might go into the 23s but are not likely to hit 24.

I'm in MA and also saw the EX-L for $24,988. I contacted dealer via email and was told $27,657. I wrote back asking about lower price and still waiting. I had a question for you about the financing. I read in a post to add about $1,000 to the price if you get the financing. Is that correct? Also do you have any tips on how to handle a trade that I haven't mentioned to them yet?

I am in Cary, NC.

Got it from Crown Southpoint, because I didn't like the attitude of the internet sales manager at autopark. Turned out that Crown were no saints either.. I did a second iteration of the Donkey Punch method.. using a different email.. I didn't use the first iteration properly, because I wasn't really aware of this method.. My friend advised me to request for quotes from Honda.com and go from there.. turned out to be my own version of DP. Wasn't satisfied with the second iteration either.. But lost patience and went ahead and got it. The 6800$ discount off MSRP seemed good enough. Got 4.67% financing through Costco CapOne for 60 months.. that's better than the 1000$ more at 2.9%.. or atleast www.carbuyingtips.com/Car_Loan_Calc_CE.xls said it is..

The break down is $27,936.87 for the Odyssey EX-L with DVD, Tax is $838.10, Tag $122, Doc $399.

Chat online with internet sale. There is a button on homepage.
Don't recommend a trade-in together with this promotion due to the fact that new car price is so low, trade-in is their only chance to make profit. I am sure they won't offer you top $, will be 3 to 4K less to make up the new car low offer. Might as well try to sell it on autotrader.com, cars.com, cardirect.com when you get a firm offer then get this deal later.
