I went to Ourisman Honda and Volkswagen dealer in Laurel, MD. They are a very dishonest Honda dealer. I would recommend everyone to stay away from them. I have been on the phone weeks talking with Erick( the sales rep) for a 08 Honda Odyssey EX-L with DVD and NAV. Erick and i had a verbal commitment on the price of the car. Infact, i had asked Erick to send me in an email, the prices for each item that they would charge to drive the car out of the Lot. Erick always refused to provide me with something in an email. He always said to me to come to the dealership, and he guaranteed to me that i would get a much better deal than another dealer. Erick infact agreed to beat the quote that i had received from Jim Coleman Honda in Clarksville,MD for a 08 odyssey EX-L by $200 what they were charging for just the cost of the car. After Erick gave me his verbal commitment on the price, Erick's boss, Steve Cole, called me on the phone and went over the prices for the items that Ourisman Honda would charge me. They both agreed to sell me the 08 Odyssey EX-L with a DVD and NAV for $28,184. They agreed to charge, $635 for freight, 6% MD sales tax, 2 years Tags for $222, and a $100 processing fee. I live 45 minutes from the Dealership. So, after i make the trip to the dealership at the agreed appointment time, Erick is too busy with another customer. Steve doesn't even bother to talk to us. They send ,Ryan, another salesman who has no idea what Erick and Steve had agreed on with me. I mentioned to Ryan that we had driven 45 miles and were ready to close the deal on an odyssey. Instead, Ryan starts taking me to the lot to show their odyssey's. He had no clue of the Odyssey's that I was interested in. Ryan comes back with a quote of $32,800 with an $1599 appearance package, after talking with Steve Cole, the manager, when Steve and i had agreed on a Total Final Price of $30,888 without any appearance package charge during our phone conversations. When i ask Ryan to bring Erick or Steve over, he refuses and mentions to me that they are both busy and can not come over. He also mentions to me that they both don't remember ever mentioning the price that i am quoting to him. I was so furious that i drove 45 minutes for nothing. I wish Erick and Steve had mentioned to me that they can not offer the 08 odyssey EX-L with DVD and NAV for that price before i had driven 45 minutes to make the trip to Laurel, MD. I recommend to anyone who is thinking of buying a Honda car from Ourisman Honda and Volkswagen in Laurel, Maryland to stay away from this dealership. They are very dishonest and are cheats. They will tell you one thing over the phone and when you get their the salesman is rude and starts acting smart with the customer. Hope this helps someone who is thinking of buying a car from this dealership. I had a bad experience with them. apollo |

| After researching for a while, I had to finally pull the trigger. I did not get the best deal in the world but it seemed to be decent. I paid 32K OTD for EX-L (no RES and no NAV). The price includes Honda Care 8 yr 120K miles and Karr system, both comes out to be more than 3K. So I paid slightly less than 29K OTD for the car alone. I wish California sales tax rate is lower than 8.25% in this case but there was nothing I can do anyway. Good luck to you all. | |

The $2000 is a dealer incentive and most just pass it along to move product. It's better than a rebate because the consumer doesn't have to pay tax on it. Don't worry about a dealer agreeing to sell a vehicle at a number that is not "fair" to them because they won't. |

I saw the below prices at another board and thought it might be helpful for all here. I spoke to the dealership and they confirmed the price by email and this price is good till monday. Great deal at Hendrick Honda in Woodbridge VA. 08' EX-L $27200 OTD. Was going to go with the EX-L w/ RES but couldnt justify the $1500 DVD player. Here are their advertised prices this weekend (plus they emailed me a $300 coupon to further subtract from these prices): 2008 Honda Odyssey LX $20,485.00 2008 Honda Odyssey EX $22,855.00 2008 Honda Odyssey EX-L $25,595.00 2008 Honda Odyssey EX-L RES $27,130.00 2008 Honda Odyssey EX-L RES and Nav. $29,349.00 regards Brainage2

$26,400 and 0.9% APR. I had communicated with a sale agent for about a week and had been very precise with the numbers. So there were not much negotiations when we got there It was only about thirty minutes talk and we spent rest of three hours to sign all the paperworks. I feel that the dealers are eager to get rid of all the vans and trucks. I'm saying this because our local Honda dealer beat this dealer's initial offer, it doesn't happen very often. So both small and big dealers feel the pressure. I'm pretty happy with my purchase and like my new vehicle. Good luck |

Replying to: coolpete (Jun 29, 2008 6:49 pm) Finally i became a proud owner of 2008 Ody . It was a great effort today , driving down to Hendrick Honda today 200 miles . I was at the dealership at about 4.40 PM , and all the deal is done by 8.00 pm . The total experience was buying at Costco ...no hassles ...nobody tried to charge / sell more . The OTD for an EXL + RES is 30,028 /--.This includes NJ tax 7% and Title. I will be able to post the break up in the morning. I also took one more person with me and he took a EXL and the OTD price for that was 28,300/-. Both got the 2.9 % APR for 60 months. The monthly payment for EXL + RES is 538/- Thank you very much for all the information shared by members of this board. The dealer also gave us Mudguards / door sill protector. The salesman name is Daniel O.His service was very good , staying late uptill 8.00 pm on a sunday. regards Brainage2
