Replying to: batavia02 (Jun 02, 2008 7:00 am) In 08 Mar & Apr, I went down there twice (each round trip is 2 hrs) tried to traded in the above and lease 08 Pilot but failed due to the reason Boch offered very LOW trade-in... don't expect top $ for your trade. The advertised price is right. Sometimes the newspaper ad. is only for a coupe stock#, while sometimes are for EVERY car in stock at a specific MSRP so you are free to choose your favorite color. The newspaper ad. is weekly. If you didn't see any you exactly like, just wait for next Saturday. New ad. is up every Saturday. The ad. is run as a cycle :1 week on LX, then next week on EXL, the week after is EX or SE and so on. You can chat live online with sales people. The conversation is in record and can be printed out when you go there. You can also request the sale people to email you a detailed quote (best is out-of-the-door price) so no surprise after you arrive. Only thing to be buyer aware of is the 'destination charge'. The floor manager, trying to make more bucks, will kick this charge in 1 more time, even the ad. states how much OFF MSRP and the MSRP has the dest charge included already. Overall their ad price is cheapest among NE dealers as No.1 volume seller. Other car dealers hate Boch due some buyers ask them to match Boch's ad. price. To take advantage of this you better prepare to sell your car by yourself instead of trade-in. I downloaded Boch's promotion in PDF format and study all those fine prints weekly while I was in shopping mood. Finally 1 month ago, leased 08 Pilot VP AWD from Herb Chambers (Boston) with 120% KBB fair value guaranteed for HONDA Trade., my 07 Odyssey LX was tarded in at $20,500 instead of Boch's offer $17,000 A $3,500 difference. However this Herb Chambers and me don't have the right chemistry, so some screwed up (theirs not mine) during the buy process:

I'm in the San Francisco Bay Area. I got a quote for $28,388 as the selling price for a EX-L with RES, including destination but excluding taxes and license. What do people think of this deal? Are there other buyers in the Bay Area who might want to participate in a group buy to get an even better deal?

i live in the baltimore md region and i am looking to buy a exl with dvd. i received an internet quote for $27,678.52 * All prices listed in this email exclude tax, title, destination, dealer accessories (if any), processing fees. i think it is a good deal but i looked at the edmunds tmv which showed the msrp as 33,810 freight 635 total msrp 34,445. so my question is does the msrp 34,445 include the freight. i don't want to get scammed into paying it twice. i assume the destination charge is the freight charge
