These are the numbers I got from Penske Honda in Indianapolis through their Internet sales department. 2008 ODYSSEY MSRP INTERNET LX $26,495.00 $22,452.26 EX $29,595.00 $25,281.53 EX-L $32,845.00 $28,247.71 EX-L RES $34,445.00 $29,707.99 EX-L RES/NAV $36,445.00 $31,533.32 TOURING RES NAV $40,645.00 $35,366.54 TOURING RES NAV & PAX $41,245.00 $35,914.15 The internet price includes the destination charge of $635.00 and the Mud Guard Protection Package (a $155.00 value). Pricing does not include the sales tax or fees. Pricing is not valid with any finance or lease offers. We're likely to buy within the next week. I'm wondering if their EX-L RES price is negotiable or firm for the Internet price. We have 7% sales tax in Indy. |

Replying to: neuropil (May 25, 2008 5:57 pm) I am in Orlando, FL with 6.5% sales tax and every one here has a dealer fee of 400-600. The lowest I can get the vehicle for is 28,250 and tax is 1840 with the rest tags and dealer fee (profit) making it 30750. I have been dealing with e-mails and it's the only way to go until you are ready to purchase. My wife and I went to the dealer once to confirm our color choice and we were hounded by annoying salesman that looked puzzled when we mentioned 2k dealer incentives and 3% holdback. They even asked us how much we want the dealer to make from this transaction (stupid question). I answered "nothing" (just being honest).

(sarcasm) After seeming so many great deal, let me share mine... Going to pick up a slate green Ody Touring on 05/28/2008. Paid $32,000 WITH TAX, DOC, TAG, EVERYTHING. We have 7.25% Tax here I think that I did an okay job, still, if I work a little harder, I can get even lower... (sarcasm) |

Could anyone please comment on this deal? I'm dealing with a private owner. The car has 15K miles on it. Excellent condition. Dealers around here wants $28.8K OTD excluding TTL for a new 08 EXL Res . Please give me some input. Thanks in advance.

Replying to: dol007 (May 27, 2008 7:06 am) $15,000 x 0.20 = $3,000 Plus this is already USED 07 vs NEW 08 car, that is another $2,000 depreciation. First year depreciation is usually steep. You do the maths. |
