About this: "The four who were buying together ended up going their own
ways....one just bought at Gwinnet for $28,6something."

cillakat, i don't know where you get your info but the 4 Ody buyers you're referring to are still looking. just wondering where you got your info.

Hello Cillakat,

Thanks for your detailed email. It helped me a lot.

Following your suggestion, I got a deal of
- 28887 OTD . I asked the dealer if this deal is with 2.9% and he replied if you are qualified why not ?
That is kind of fishy I thought, because You either have a 2K dealer incentive offer or 1K with 2.9% financing.. He was neither confirming it or denying it.

After the deal was agreed on the phone, he called me to say, "OH , we don't have a black odyssey, can you take Silver " . That pissed me off ..

So I went to another dealer with the above price and 2.9% financing. They couldn't believe it . They said they couldn't beat it and challenged me that price is Without special rates. They said they can match it if I have my own financing.

And if I wanted 2.9% financing, then the bottom OTD they offerred is 29955. (includes everything) .

Does this seem right or do you think I get the 28877 Price with 2.9% financing.

The Price of 28300 you gave , Is it with special 2.9% financing or without ?

Your response will help me whether I should take the offer from the second dealer or not.

Also I called the first dealer and asked whether he could order a Black odyssey for the same price he quoted (28877) earlier. He said he will, but somehow I am not willing to believe him. What do you think ?

Your response is appreciated.

Thanks
Ibrahim

36 months, yep. I agree on the Dodge being a lot of vehicle! I dont see myself taking 12000 for it at this point. We owe 14600 and I willing to take about 1000 less because I really dont see gas prices getting better for a while- if ever. Any other thoughts on the future for gas prices? If they dont improve I can only imagine the Big SUVS like mine not doing better on pricing and may worse?!? We paid less then 18500 for the used Durango in Nov 07 (which stickered around 37000 when it was new I think in Nov 06).

My salesman told me I had to fill out a credit application even if I was bringing my own financing due to the patriot act. I just read at www.carbuyingtips.com that it's B.S. I fell hook line and sinker, though they did beat my rate.

Touring in western Virginia by 63hokie

First many thanks to all the posters on this forum. The knowledge available here made buying our Odyssey a pleasant experience. Never thought I'd be able to say that.
Bought from Hokie Honda in Christianburg VA for $35,438, including dest, doc fee, mud guards and a pretty pin stripe. That's with 0.9 financing for 36 months. Of course I could have had other financing and a price of $34,438. But even with an $11,000 down payment, the 0.9% is $500 cheaper over the three years.
That was not the cheapest price, but the others were 2 to 2 1/2 hours away and didn't have the mud guards and pin stripe.
I would recommend Hokie Honda, Asheboro NC Honda at $35,240, Rule Honda in Staunton VA at $35,261, and Honda of Lake Norman NC at $35,341. Good prices and good people. At least thru e-mail.
I tried all the dealers in Richmond, Winston/Salem, Greensboro, and Charlotte, and none of them were competitive. One or two were downright ridiculous. The only one that I think was playing games was Hendrick Honda in Charlotte. They actually had the lowest quote at $34,946, but their quote didn't reference the 0.9% and when I asked them about it, I never got a response.
Anyone close to western VA and in the market for a Touring, try Hokie Honda, they had 7 non-Pax Tourings out of a total of 34 Odysseys.
Again many thanks to this forum, I know you saved me money, I don't know how much, but the Edmunds TMV is $35,993. If that's the average selling price, not including accessories, and I'll bet that most people take the $2000 rather than the special financing, then there's a lot of people paying a lot more than the posters on this forum.
    Thanks from one happy Hokie.

What was the dealer where you were getting this offer in the seattle area? The cheapest that I have received until now is $500 more than this.

Thanks

Ibrahim,
I am interested in the reply as well. I received a quote of 27,300 before fees/ttl at David McDavid but they would not do the 2.9% financing. They made me "mad" as well because they added ~1k worth of options that they wanted me to pay for to the "no haggle" price. I have sent emails to different dealerships and am awaiting responses. After reading these forums, I am curious as to if anybody else is getting close to the 28, 500 OTD price as well and at what financing? What is the best price that somebody has gotton with the 2.9% financing?

You guys are doing well if you can get an EX-L RES for $27,300. The lowest offer I'm getting is $28,500 and that's w/o the 2.9% financing. What area of the country are you in?

Dallas/Fort Worth area. Is that the OTD price? Because 27,3K is not. Oh, and I am just looking for an EX-L...no RES.

Gray & Olive leather interiors by tnguyen74

I'm looking at a slate green EX-L RES and debating on the Gray or Olive leather. I was curious to see what most people on this board have and likes/dislikes. I'm leaning towards the gray.
