Extended warranty by mike20878

Now I'm worried I may not have received a good extended warranty plan. Has anyone heard of Performance First provided by Dimension Service Corp? I was led to believe this coverage was as good as named exclusion but now I see it lists what it covers. It's supposed to be "bumper to bumper" including wear and tear.

Thanks.

Nope, the selling price with the options on the Exl Odyssey van is $$28,361 (standard options 27790 + splash guards, wheel locks . door edge guards and wheel well moldings another $371). The sales tax is $2609, lic fee is $180 and there is a $50 doc fee. So total price comes to $30,829

Why would you say that? I bought my last one through my credit union. This one was offered by the dealer. I have had no problems with the one through Intercontinental warranty (credit union).

Dealer price quote on EX-L is less than carsdirect, edmunds, and invoice!! by chiragmp

Hi:

I am new to this forum.

I am researching 2008 Honda Odyssey EX-L with NAV and RES. For Northern California:

Invoice = $33054 (incl. destination charge)
Edmunds.com TMV = $31757 (incl. dest charge)
Carsdirect.com price = $31745 (incl. dest charge)
Dealer quote = $30000 (incl. destination charge)

So dealer quote is $3054 LESS than invoice!! Is this surprising or is it normal these days? Am I being setup for some unexplained charges when I sit at the negotiating table?

The dealer quoted $30000 right off the bat and I think he is willing to negotiate (based on his emails) to earn my business. Am I in a position to get him to agree to a lower price? How low should I go? How do I do that? Or should I just take the deal?

Thanks in advance.

Well, dealer cash is $2000 so you are actually $1,054 below invoice. Does holdback vary across the country? If not, I had two dealers confirm the same amount of $1,253. From what everyone here has been saying, $30k is the best deal going. I just paid $30,052 before options.

Tell him you want a signed quote from his manager.

Willz605- How has this deal been going for you. We are fully considering leasing an EX in Ohio and that is right about the payment we want to be at with tax. Please let me know if things worked out or not.

chiragmp, I'm from Norcal also and looking form R&N. Can you pls send me your e-mail address? Your final OTD will be between 33K+ to 34K+ (incl TTL) even w/ 30K invoice. No dealers will go for under 33K.
