We've never had a problem with fabrics, and our 3 year old has bad reflux, so the fabric definitely has been tested. Plus, leather is really sticky if you ever have to sit on it during the summer after working out. It's miserable to go for a run and then have to get in a car with leather seats.

We just got a base LX, blue, at Valley Honda in Aurora IL. With the etching and key replacement (our only added feature) and doc fees of $150, our total was $21941. We had a tradein worth $1200 (1997 saturn SL2 with 125K miles) and tax was $1427. So our total price was $22,168. If you remove the value of the trade-in, our OTD was $23368.

GET THE WARRANTY!!!! My Odyssey has 3,000 miles and I've used Honda Care twice. Right now, they're paying for my rental while my Odyssey (see my earlier Lemon post) is in the shop -- again. Honda Care has been great, but the best advice I can give you is to get a Sienna!!!!!

Hi there! I too am in the Bay Area, and am shopping for an EXL DVD RES in Ocean Mist (cool color!).

I got quotes from 2 dealers for $28,900 incl. destination (no tax or license yet) - Honda of Redwood City and Anderson Honda. I am waiting for a quote from Honda El Cerrito.

Would you mind sharing who the other dealers were who came in at $24k for you? Would like to know which dealers are the most motivated to sell right now!

Thanks!

Purchased our warranty from www.berbnardiwarranty.com They're a Honda dealer on the east cost. They blow away everwhere else I got quotes from. Got exact same warranty as what my dealer offered, but for HALF the price!

Congrats newcar4me3! $33.8K is a GREAT price for the Touring! Well done. I found it a challenge just getting my dealers down to $34K, let alone BELOW it. Heck, we had one dealer thinking he was making us the deal of a lifetime on an EXL RES/NAV for $33K, and thats close to what you got the Touring for! I don't think you left a whole lot on the table, especially since the other dealers balked at the number, or had color limitations, etc.

I found that once I had dealers pitching out numbers below around $34.3 for the Touring, I started feeling like I was trying to get blood from a turnip. They were still dealing, but only coming down in $20-$30 increments. The clincher for us was the dealer who was in the hunt AND offered us $2K more than Carmax for our trade.

Here you go (now these quotes are for the plain EX not an EXL that you are looking for)

Walnut Creek-->$25,126.53
Oakland-->$24,747.00
Marin-->$23,999.00
Berkely-->$24,000.00

Honda of Concord would match $24000 if i was Concord resident.

Hope this helps.

as it turned out, they would only do $500 for my car but carmax would do 1700 for it, so guess what I decided to do?!

Here's my quote on an EXL RES:

Out the door at $31,032.01 with wheel locks, mud guards, all season floor mats, cargo mat & extra headset.

They won't give me 2.9%...the best I've been able to find is 5.75%

Is this a good deal?
