Thanks to all the posts and feedback I got a great deal on my new Odyessy at honda of Hayward. It took a while to negociate, basically went there with my target pricing guessing they would not accept it, after 3-4 hours they finnally agreed

$30150 = Price for car (includes des. fee's)
$350 = doc/license fee's
$2642 = sales tax (8.75%)
=====
$33142 = out the door

$15500 = trade in of my 2002 RX300 2WD with 81k miles on it (basically got private party sell for it). This took close to 3 hours of negociation.

Net cost came to $17642 for a new EXL with DVD/RES + they also gave me a ipod touch (sells for $299).

I just bought an 08 EX-L with RDVD system for 28,500 that included destination. I was also able to use Honda's 2.9% financing and recieved over blue book on my trade. It is a buyers market despite what the sales people want you to believe. Honda won't offer any great deals, but they will beat them if you find them.Try the internet dept first they are allways cheapest.

I hope to make my purchase tomorrow night. I have a slightly better price than what I posted originally. I will post after the purchase is complete to let you know our OTD.

IMHO, the $2000-4500 marketing support/incentive for the Odyssey posted to the consumerguide website is inaccurate. They had posted that there were no available incentives on the Odyssey for the longest time (e.g. they previously had a $2500 incentive which expired at the end of Feb (which I believe should only have been $2K) even though the $2K incentive has been readily available the month of March and then into April. Also, they are publishing the same $2K-$4.5K incentive for the Ridgeline, which happens to have a confirmed $4.5K incentive (edmunds, honda dealers selling for $5K below invoice on the Ridgeline). My guess is they published incorrect information.

It is kind of funny.
I think edmunds.com and cars.com is not accurate either.
In my last 4 months of using this site it never told me that such discount is going on.
Consumer guide at least puts up the information.
For example:
When consumer guide was putting up this information in say february, edmunds and cars.com was still not factoring that in the price when they show you as gaurenteed price.
For example on touring model when cars.com was showing 35900+tax, people in our area already had emailed quotes for 34100+tax.
So I think I would treat these sites not different the real dealer person as far as prices go.

While helping friends shop for their new van, received offer of $25,864 +T&L through internet sales at Klein Honda (Everett, WA). Incl. splashguards, wheel locks, 3M clear door edge guards. Very straightforward, upfront pricing. Great experience.

Lowest offer for me on the EX-L R&N is 32K OTD (all fees/tax included in that price). seems that's the lowest they will go. does this sound good, or does anyone know of someone getting lower than this in FL? Thanks!
