Got lucky in that they just traded for it from a nearby dealer. Said they would get whatever color I wanted, but for that price would charge $50-75 to get it. Don't know about credit cards. -Jim

Here's a quote I just got for the Touring: Your Price: $34,749.00 Tax 6.75%: $2362.40 Doc. Fee: $249.50 Plates/ Reg: $25.50 ________________________ Your Price: $37,386.40 Thoughts? DocFee seems a bit high. Do we think the $34749 is a good deal? Thanks for any feedback.

I am not sure if I got a good deal or not. But, the following is what I paid last saturday 29971 EXL/RES which came with sunroof,DVD,leather, basic protection package (mud gaurds, mats and etc) 471 visors (for sun roof and windows) 1873.19 sales tax Dealer inventory tax 51.11 Dealer doc fee 50.00 veh inspection fee 21.75 License/Title fees 92.80 Road and Bridge/Deputy fee 17.50 Total 32077.35 I bought this one from Bankston Honda and the internet salesman was professional and did not play any cheap sales tactics he gave me the ody for same price I was quoted on the phone. No add-ons. I walked out with my van in around 90 minutes. I was also working with the internet salesman from McDavid, Irving and the experience I had was frustating. As a customer I was bargaining and the salesman got furios and was yelling. In addition, he gave a price on phone which was different when I was there. The most frustating thing was than when I was bargaining the new price he said we just increased the price by another $1000. With this kind of lousy sales tactics and unprofessional attitude I would not go there again. Beware: lowest quote is not always the best. This guy was giving low quote, but kept on adding for add-ons and also for things that come from the factory. This forum has been helpful and I believe sharing our experience gives us enough info to shop and a better buying experience. Best of luck you all |

Replying to: derrickson (Apr 11, 2008 2:19 pm) Now, they are offering 8 years 120K ESP for $1300 (original quote $2400) and I want it for $1200. What is a reasonable price for this?

Thanks for the feedback derikkson. I was able to get the dealership to revise the quote -- I also noticed they were trying to say the tax was 6.75%, when it is 6.5%! Price: $34,149.00 Tax 6.50%: $2235.90 Doc. Fee: $249.50 Plates/Reg: $25.50 Your Total: $36,659.90 They would not waive the doc fee, but they were willing to throw in the all weather mats. The only issue with this deal is that I can't get the color I want - they will only do white, gray or silver - that's what they have on lot. So, I am working on another dealer too, to see if they can match. Does this seem like a good deal? We also have the CapOne financing at 4.5%, and I went to carmax and got my current 128K mile explorer valued -- they will give me $1700 so I may see if they will do a trade in as well once I finalize which dealer.
