#18725 of 30026 2008 Honda Odyssey EXL with RES/NAV - $30400 + TTL

I bought a 2008 Honday Odyssey EXL with RES/NAV at Valley Honda in Aurora IL for $30,400 + TTL. The OTD price was around $32500. Though the price on the new one seems reasonable I think they kind of ripped me off on the extended warranty and the trade in. They charged me $1700 for a 7 year extended warranty which I later found costs only around $1200. I'm thinking of cancelling the warranty now. They gave me $3300 on my trade-in of a 1998 Honda Accord EX-L (90K miles). Carmax quoted $3500 on my Accord so I was OK with the dealer giving me $3300 but now I'm thinking I should sold it to a private party. That could have got me atleast $1000 more.

2008 Tourings w/o pax from anywhere at $33,900 to $34,900
$150 doc fee and TTL.
Every dealer charged $1000 more if use 2.9% fin

#18728 of 30026 EXL Price in NJ

I went to Planet Honda, NJ today for EXL, from the beginning I was asking for the quote with the special Honda 0.99% - 2.9% financing deal and the sales guy said YES to the special finance and got the 28400 OTD price for EXL.
Finally after signing all the forms, he said he can't give this deal with the special finance even though I got a good credit score. I was asked to either get my own finance or go with their higher interest finance. Not sure if they playing any kinda games here by our wasting time.
I know this price is kinda good OTD price with 7% NJ Tax. I didn't understand why he agreed to give the quote with the special finance and at the end backed out of it.
The other Rt 22 Honda dealer also came close to this deal, but not the same.

It is in my original posting, $28400 OTD. I didn't ask for the breakdowns. I negotiated with the OTD price

Shame on you for lying to the car buying public. The invoice price on the Odyssey EX is $26229 and even with the current incentive of $2000 you are still at$24229. This is $948 under invoice. Where do you think that money came from? People will lie about 2 things...the price of their house and the price of their car. For some reason they want you to think they paid more than they did for their house and less than they did for their car. This forum is supposed to be helpful.
I doubt it is a fib. I paid $3270 below invoice for my EXL and felt that I may have left a little money on the table. [They made some of that back in the exorbitant doc fee compared to OP]. There are reports all over this forum of prices $3K below invoice on Odysseys.

Charging an huge doc fee is the way they recover their so called deal. A doc fee shouldn't be more than $250.00 at the most. Thanks!
#18733 of 30026 What is good price for 08 EX-L in upstate NY area ?

We have 03 EX with 89K miles on it and my wife is looking to trade it for something else. With current incentives going around I thought it would be better to stick with Ody instead of paying same amount of money for T&C or Caravan. What is good price people are getting in upstate NY for 08 EX-L ?

I don't believe the OP is fibbing either. I paid $26, 087 (+tax, tags, freight & $100 proc fee) for my EX-L which is nearly 3K lower than the invoice price of $29,166.
