I'm in California, and I was told that I must get Odyssey warranty through a Honda dealer and not through the third-party internet websites. Is that true? If yes, what is a fair price to pay for an Odyssey Touring warranty through a dealer and for how long should I get it for? This is my first time buying an Odyssey, and I'd like to know what is a recommended warranty (length/price) package for the warranty.

Although I focused on American-made vehicles (Tahoe/Yukon, T&C/Caravan, Acadia/Outlook), and took a hard look at the Sienna, I ended up with a new Odyssey each time. Why? Creature comforts, value, utility, reliability, and performance. In my opinion, the Odyssey Touring provides the best combination of these attributes. For less than $35k you should be able to get a Touring model with every conceivable option (navigation, dvd, disc changer, power everything, bluetooth phone, backup camera and sensors, etc.). If your experience is similar to mine, it will run flawlessly, pass with power to spare and outhandle the competition. Your Ody will haul just about anything and get better than 20mpg while doing it. When it comes time to trade your Ody in, you'll also get much more of your investment back. I've owned two EX-Ls and two Tourings--once you've had a Touring model, you'll never go back. There's a reason, actually many reasons, the Ody wins all the "best van" competitions in the car magazines. |

I am looking at the Odyssey EX-L with RES. I am getting price quotes at $29,500 plus tax (6%) and doc fees of $99. Should I keep trying to get a better price or is this as good as I will get?
