Replying to: samvans (Dec 25, 2007 2:45 pm) We obtained an 07 Touring with DVD & Navi (Nimbus/OIive), door edge guards, wheel locks, pin striping, and wheel well paint (plus 2 full tanks of gas and 2 free oil changes) from Kuhn Honda in Tampa (using quote from Regal Honda Lakeland, who has lower dealer fee $299): $32, 682.57 (includes $635 destination)+ $599.99 dealer fee + $2065 FL tax = $35,348 OTD. I thought this was a great price. I did purchase a 5 year, unlimited mile road hazard warranty for $280. Though, I am always very leary, I was assured it will cover the PAX tires for hazards. My salesman was great; very personable, not high pressure. You can email me for contact info for both Kuhn and Regal: honda2004tampa |

My Christmas present was a 2007 EXL R&N with 8 miles on it, September 07 manufacture date. Looking at the paperwork, costs were: $29852.34 (including destination, doc fee, and ERT fee) $2090.00 state tax $15.00 county tax $143.00 title & plates Total OTD: $32100.34 That price also included remote start (installation and 3-yr warranty--dealer price $395+tax), interior/exterior protective coatings (paint/carpet/upholstery/rust/underbody/soundshield w/ 5-7-10 yr warranties--dealer price supposedly $1089+tax?), full tank of gas, and 2x/yr for 3 yrs free exterior detailing/paint job to keep it looking like new (dealer threw this in unprompted, I think to keep my husband from countering with a lower number). I know some say the coatings are a ripoff but I like the warranty peace of mind, for a reasonable upcharge (which I know $1K is not). We are on-street parkers and the Chicago weather can really do a number on your car, plus we've got 3 kids ages 3-11 and assorted friends of theirs that can really do some damage. Did my husband make out okay or should he have tried for lower? I made him read here first and get multiple internet quotes using the donkeypunch method, but he's not big on haggling. |

I got a quote from a dealer in Virginia after haggling the price from 33K and some change. I was quoted $27200 +Tax+Title+Processing fee. Is this a good deal on an 07 or should I get a better deal on an 08? Please let me know your comments at the earliest convenience. If I go for an EX-L without the RES, would the price be much lower than what I was quoted. Thanks very much in advance for any comments/suggestions, I really appreciate it. |

Replying to: litfuse (Dec 26, 2007 1:35 pm) I dropped the tire roadside hazard and the protection guard they sell. Only thing I have is the Fidelity Care 6yr/100,000 warranty. Definately considering dropping it. They also sell honda care, but the two dealers I have talked to are priced identical. I haven't priced it more. Of course, the florida price I am seeing is about $500 above the price you can buy on the internet from the rhode island dealership. Nobody can sell in florida, but the dealers. Unless, I can find someone willing to reduce the price on Honda Care, I will probably just stick it out with the one I have financed into the loan. Great minivan. Just waiting on the baby now.
