I looked around portland, and got a great price from the guys at gresham honda. The price was 26,100 for an EX-L, just a little over 27k for an ex-l with RES. That was total out the door. The problem we found was that most dealers had "allready installed" a bunch of accessories (splash guards, wheel locks, roof bars, etc), that we were not interested in. Gresham had the splash guards, which were inflated maybe $50, but they had the best deal overall. I did the donkey punch method, and it ended up working through them the best. I will say that Wilsonville honda was excellent. The salesmen was the best, and their price was just as good. The only problem was that my wife wanted the DVD, and wilsonville honda did not have the right selection at the time (they only had it in burgundy, which was one of the two colors we were not interested in). So the guys at gresham were good, but parker johnston in wilsonville were excellent. Also, we got a great rate from American Honda. They first got it for us at 5.9 (with the 2500), and then lowered it to 5.75.

Ok, I punched a few (6) local dealers and I got offers of 26800 base price from 2 of the closest dealers so far. I did the edmunds on line quote and the base price came up as 27200. Thats without the dealer cash back I presume. My question is, should I get the 2500 dealer cash subtracted from the base? What should I expect? Is anyone able to get the cash and the financing? I was quoted at 8% int. seems way high since my beacon is 790ish. There are quite a few exls on the lots around tampa so I have a little time. I did visit one dealer today with a terrible outcome. Im also going to have to try carmax for the trade, The first dealer quoted me 9100 for an 03 exl w/50k. The edmunds says average value is 12,200, ouch! btw the first dealer visit I made, the internet guy was out, (I had an appt)I got his "helper ' who sat me down and started to work the deal like I just walked in off the street. I have a quote! Ive got to do it this way he said, "got to play the game" Wouldnt say anything about the cash back, didnt know what interest rate I was being charged and he didnt know the trade in value. just 28900 for the car and 540/month. Too high I said. "so what do you want your monthly pmt to be???". sigh. After the sales manager came out and spelled out the terms and started his spiel, I just left. Have the internet guy call me I said, Im waiting for that call now. I guess I'm paying for that gourmet coffee and the 60" plasma in the waiting room...Not!

Hi, I live in Indianapolis. I have been looking around for a 2007 Odyssey EXL-RES. I requested internet quotes from local dealers thru KBB. The best quote I got was for $27,795 plus TTL. Upon visiting this dealer, I found that this dealer is not ready to come down even a few dollars from this price. A visit to the second dealer was no good. The lowest he could offer was $1000 more that the previous one. Do you guys feel that $27795 plus taxes is a right price for the Odyssey. Help will be appreciated.

Replying to: shankarindy (Dec 03, 2007 7:56 pm) many dealers are making use of holdback and other "hidden" incentives to go even lower. If you carefully read all post for last 1 month, you will notice few with invoice minus 3000. By the way, it is about 1500 difference between with and without RES. For that much of difference, EVERY passenger can have his/her own portable DVD system!!

I am in Seattle area. The lowest quote I have received so far using the donkeypunch method for 2007 LX base model is 21,328 + accesories + doc($50) + TTL. I am in touch with the internet sales guy and talked to him over the phone. I asked him if price is negotiable and he said yes. I am looking to you guys to guide me on what is a good price for the LX? I have 5.9% APR financing from Capitol One. I am looking to buy the van in the next day or two. So please guide me on what my next steps should be.

| in Atlanta. I got the 2007 EXL with DVD for 26750 which included destination but not the 499 doc fee. It did come with a few dealer add ons which i wouldn't pay for. I think I did okay?? Comments anyone?? I think i could have done a little better but frankly i was just burnt out from shopping. I also purchased a base 2008 CRV 2 days ago. I think I ended up at 19599 on it. Hopefully i'm done for a few years... | |
