2007 EXLs are going below 26k in most parts of the country which means the dealer is charging you at least ~1500 for the free warranty. I would stay away from this dealer. Get quotes for EXL without the warrantly and if you really need the warranty get the Hondacare online.

You should be able to do better than 28,980 considering it is the end of the month and there are still more than a few EXL R&N on the dealer lots. Folks have reported buying the EXL R&N for 28400 end of October, I received quotes of 28,600 over the weekend in the Chicagoland area.

As far as I know 2.9% can not be combined with the dealer cash back.

Pulled the trigger on the '08 touring (no additional options) -- $36,338 including destination. $39,739.17 OTD in the Bay Area. I got to the point that no one would match (let alone beat) the offer so I feel pretty good about it. Beautiful car in Nimbus Grey with Olive interior. It was a lot of money over the '07 but we wanted some of the '08 features... Good luck to all

The NYS DMV will figure the tax based upon the address on your license. If you live in Suffolk the tax rate is 8.625%. You can't avoid paying your local county portion of sales tax by buying upstate. sticks, right? Can I ask what deal you got? I am about to pull the trigger today in Smithtown.

Thank you folks for the wonderful info. I have been reading the postings as guest. Went to Criswell Honda yesterday and bought a slate EXL-RES 07, on-the-road 28500.
Break down,
tags 227 (no financing, no lien, $20 less than the usual 247)
tax 5% MD 1366
26907 including 2500 rebate and 635 freight which is about 1200 below invoice besides the rebate. I might do a little better, but I was in and out in an hour and half.
Thanks and good luck to you all.

When I was shopping for the 08 Touring a dealer sent me the Dealer Disclosure Form that is the printout of the AHFC leasing system. On the form under the category of "Capitalized Cost Breakdown" it shows the "Vehicle Cost" as $36,349.40. That is the invoice price. Then the next line it shows the "Markup" as -1166.40. That is the holdback (notice it is a negative number).

I get your point, but I haven't seen anyone pay any less for an EX-L, so I just don't think the vehicle could really be had for less, with or without the accessories.

There comes a point where you are at rock bottom. They were huge markups on them anyway--what's the dealer cost on wheel locks? Its not costing the dealer much to throw them in for free. Maybe the car would have been $50 cheaper without them, but even that I doubt.

I'm sure at some point, somebody will come on here and beat my price, but it hasn't happened yet.

Quoted: It's a different story when you get into the pricier accessories like fog lights, back-sensors, and tow packages!

How much is dealer mark-up on the back-up sensors? They list at $500, not even installed. We're thinking of asking for them, as we've got them now on our current van, and they're a huge help.
