I am considering buying an 07 Odyssey now (early August) or an 08 in Mid-September. Which one is a better deal ? It is true that there may be good deals now for 07s. Using the edmunds.com used car appraisal tool, an 06 bought in Aug 2006 is worth around $3000-3500 less now compared to an 07 bought in September 2006. I took EX-L as an example and used different mileage(though this does not really make a difference). For all three categories(Trade In, Private Party, Dealer Retail), 2006 is worth at least $3000 less. I also read on this forum that people bought 07 Odyssey in September 2006 around invoice value. So, I don't think any dealer will give me a deal sweet enough to be less than $3000 off of invoice for an 07 model now. So, buying an 08 in mid Sept for invoice price is more looking like a better deal. What do you think ? Is my reasoning flawed ?

In addition to low APR are there any other incentives coming for August 07 Odyssey buy or leases.

Most of the dealership only able to offer me invoice at DFW, TX area. I thought they can do better than that. Anybody had a better offer at this point? If you do, could you send me the detail to boeaya at hotmail dot com. I have an internet quote from Open Road Honda of Edison for $31492 before destination charge. Appreciate it. thanks

I've decided to purchase a Hond Odyssey EX. Still debating on 2007 or 2008 but would prefer the 2008 because of VCM standard. Based on history, where do you think the pricing of the 2008 will be? Close to Invoice or Retail price, no incentives, etc.? I'm trying to gauge whether its worth waiting for the 2008 EX with VCM as opposed to the 2007. If I wait for the 2008 EX, I do not want to pay significantly more than the 2007's. Thanks
