Hi, I would like to buy a new 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L model with DVD or with both DVD and navigation system. For EX-L with DVD I am getting the quotation $28,600.00 + Tax and Other fees. I would like to know what is the good price for the EX-L model with DVD and EX-L with DVD+Nav. How much should be out-of-door cost and I line in Redwood City, CA. Your valuable inputs will help me to decide. thanks. |

People posting prices / quotes from last month should realize that the dealers will automatically add $750 to their prices from last month. If you didn't buy before the incentive ended on the 5th, you've missed out on this for the time being (though Honda may reinstitute the program if sales start dropping). On the other hand, there is a $3500 incentive on the Pilot, $1500 on Toyota Sienna and Kia Sedona, and $2500 on Hyundai Entourage (Sienna & Entourage programs end today: hard to predict tomorrow after Honda took the incentive away on the Odyssey) |

I bought the odyssey Ex-L last month(June) and am under the impression that I got a good deal. I didnt know about this forum till yesterday or else I would have checked the costs earlier. I got the EX-L for $28,300 OTD in the NOVA/Dc metro area. I traded by Honda Accord Ex- V6 2000 make for $5,800. I wanted 6K for the car, and 28K OTD for the van, but got tired haggling, as it was Sunday evening, and my negotiations went on till 7pm. Did all my research online, got quotes online, spoke to salespersons, and told them that I wont come in till I get an offer. Everyone was in the 28,700 OTD range, but this dealer said he will try to shoot for 28K. The trade-in negotiations jumped a lot. They offered 4K and I walked out. They pulled me back in said 5K. I said I cant go below 6K, and then it went on till we agreed on 5,800. Carmax appraised car at 4K, and some one dealer gave me $2700(gave me Auctioning BS) and another one offered $4,200. What do you guys think about the deal?

Plus, the AWD will help here in Minnesota. In many aspects, the Pilot is like an inflated Subaru wagon. P.s. As for your own search, the 08 Odyssey is a "MMC" (mid-model change; for reference, the 2006 was the MMC for the Pilot), with possible refinements to the powertrain / interior. Not much info on what these may / may not be at this point, but it should go on sale late September/early October, so maybe in a month's time. Exterior changes are very minimal. Here's one picture: 08 Odyssey Spy Picture May be worth waiting a couple months for (or for the deals on the 07 Odyssey to return), given you have a Pilot now that might be able to work short term. |

Hello. I am about to buy a 2007 Honda Odyssey EX-L (w/o Navi or DVD), trading my 2002 Honda CR-V LX AWD with 75,500 miles. Please see the quote I got from a local dealer and comment on it. 1. Quote for the Odyssey: $28,850 ($100 over the invoice + destination) 2. Quote for the CR-V: $10,000 ($75 more than "excellent", $700 more than the quote in KBB): my car's condition is probably somewhere between "good" and "excellent" 3. Net payment to the dealer will be $18,850 + $80 of legal fee. I know the quote for the Odyssey is not great, but I liked the quote for my trade-in value for CR-V... And also the alternative Honda dealer is about 1 and half hour away as well as they don't have the car I like in stock... So, what do you guys think? I am closing the deal with the dealer tomorrow... I hear there is no cash incentive to dealer for odyssey sale at this moment?? If this is true, the profit the dealer will get out of this deal will be somewhere around $500... (=$28850 - invoice - destination charge + Hold Back) |

Thanks to all. This forum has been a great source of information. Last Friday(07/06/07) I bought an Ody EX-L with Navi and DVD from Diamond Valley Honda, Hemet CA. Following are the price break up: Vehicle price : $30533 (This price includes splash guard, cargo tray and wheel lock) Doc fees : $55 CA Sales Tax: $2381 DMV Electronic Filing fee: $28 License fees: $200 Registration: $60 CA Tire fees: $8.75 Total OTD : $33,265 I got the qutoe from most of the dealer in near by area but quote from these guys sound attractive to me. I am San Diego based and this dealer is around 60 miles from my place so before walk-in to thier showroom I pretty much finalized everything over the phone. Price and color was finalized on Thursday but they didn't have Nimbus Gray in stock and they said they will get one by tomorrow. So I visited their showroom with a fax copy of quote on Friday. First thing I did was to take test drive of very own vehicle I am getting. While driving I test things I read in forum. Then we came back and while car was running in idle(parking) I accelarate over 3000rpm and I heard some weird sound have. I was negotiating to throw in all season floor mat but they were not ready. They charged $141 for that on top (OTD now is $33,406). I got 4.9 financing for 60 months. Finance lady told about Honda Care warranty for $1395 (7yrs/120K). It seems little higher to me so I just declined. Then we walk out to our new van and found that all season mat is not there (only accessories for which I paid) visited another showroom in San Diego and did similar test. No sound. SO I called today and they said come by and we will fix it. I told him give me a call once you get floor mat and I will stop by to get both things done i.e. install floor mat and get rid of that sound from engine. So it was not very good experience but so far dealer is nice and gave assurance to have everything fix. I will keep you posted about this dealer once I am done with both the stuff. Does anyone have similar experience on their 07 model when accelarate over 3000 rpm on idle(parking)? Is it a matter of concern to get it done asap? Because while driving I dont hear any sound. Let me know. |
