The Sienna is looking better now. We have also thought about a Hyundai though, from their message boards, it seems they don't have as good of service with their warranty. Hope you like your new van! |

I had a fall-back plan, but that too seems to have fallen through, although there might still be some hope (but I won't find out til tomorrow). I've looked at the Hyundai too, and while there are many things appealing about it, I'd pay the extra for the Odyssey or the Sienna. One other consideration, the 08 Highlander should start showing up in show rooms in about 2 weeks. Supposed to have a decent 3rd row, with access through a pass through in 2nd row. Haven't tried it myself though (it was up on a platform at the Chicago Auto Show). |

Lots of great features too (hope you got the premium package with the heated seats / homelink/ backup sensors - after specing out the price to pay for Odyssey backup sensors ($900) that's another deal). Enjoy. |

I was at a dealership yesterday looking at an 07 Odyssey EXL. The MSRP was 33960. I was looking for a great deal and wanted to get OTD at around $28,000. The Invoice was 29463 and Honda had $1000.00 dealer incentive. They came back to me at 28463 +TTT. That put me at around $31,350. I was going to walk out and they came back to me with an OTD price of $30,000. After reading some of the post, it seems to me that they gave me a very good deal. Based on my math: Invoice $29,463 Incentive $1,000 Destination $551 Tax $1707 Hold Back $884 Dealer Cost $27028.00 My Tax $1659 Destination $551 Tag/Title $150 My Cost $ 30,000. My Calculation Dealer selling me the vehicle at $27,650 A Dealer Profit of $612.00 Any Comments or advise?

Replying to: smarnie (Jul 06, 2007 7:43 pm) Hmmm... In that case, MSRP before destination should be $31690 and Invoice before destination should be $28159. And hold back should be $932 (3% of MSRP before destination). Therefore, the dealer cost should be $26778... BTW, your dealer has $1,000 cash incentive to dealer? I thought some dealers had $750 incentive until 7/5 and it ended??? Where is your dealer located? I am also looking at 2007 Honda Odyssey withouth a Navi or DVD and the best offer I got was $28850 ($100 over the invoice)... He said there is no marketing promotion from the manufacturer for them (I am living in a small town)... Assuming he is honest, his cost should be $27778 (w/$1000 incentive) and $28850 gets him just about $1,000... However, the trade in value for my 2002 Honda CRV LX AWD with 75000 miles was fairly good,, $9500. |

Replying to: KarenS (Sep 12, 2000 4:58 pm) Just purchased an '07 Odyssey - Black, EX-L RES for $29,450 (+ trade-in at $250 below CarMax quote) at Rorhman Group Schaumburg Honda, Illinois. I would never recommend the dealership. Dealer prep on the van was pathetic (on delivery, dvd screen fuse wasn't put in and they sent me to service that took 3hrs!!! The roof cross rails took a week to deliver, then they installed the wrong ones and scratched the roof) These guys are useless but use them to negotiate to your benefit. Great van, have been using it for 3 weeks now. Too bad the dealership is so poorly run. |
