2007 Odyssey EX-L DVD/NAV in San Diego by shashafoo

I want to thank this board for helping me tremendously for my negotiation and purchase of my new Nimbus Gray EX-L DVD/NAV (took delivery today!). First, I went through the Costco Program in San Diego (Escondido dealership) - their price was $200 over invoice, but added a bunch of options and fees, etc. Then I got several email quotes - many of which were between $34,600 to $36,000 OTD. After some back and forth, I selected a dealer (Pacific Honda), made and appointment, then made my final offer, which was accepted. Here's my info, and I hope it helps:

MSRP: $35,490
Invoice: $32,503

My Price: $31,221.33
Docs: $55
Sales Tax: $2423.92
DMV Fees: $291
CA Tire Fee: $8.75

OTD Price: $34,000

Includes Protection Package: mud flaps, edgeguards, wheel locks, trunk tray. I got 4.9 financing for 60 months. I came to them with my OTD Price - I would not budge on this, even when they went through their song-and-dance tactics. They were nice, but I think they realized I wasn't there to negotiate - only to get my price.

I'm satisfied with the price, though I wonder if I could've gone even lower. But in the end, I got the price I wanted. I hope this helps everyone.

Purchased a Touring with DVD and Nav from Ohare Honda on April 30th, last day for the 3.9% for 60 months. Paid $38,346 OTD which included wheel locks, mud guards, all season mats, cargo mat, cargo tray and fenderwell trim. Tried to charge me $400 for mud guards and $199 for wheel locks! I laughed at them. This was after they told me I would get 10% off accessories! I should have gotten a better deal but by 11:30pm I was worn out and settled. Shame on me!

doc fee $58.48
Tax $2370.65
LTT $80.00
Price (including above accessories) $35,837.00

I'm not so sure about these guys so be careful. I still have some business with them so I will keep you posted.

I had the worst experience leasing my 2007 Honda Odissey at Coral Springs Auto Mall, FL.They were terrible and I ended up with a lemon. Now I'm stucked with this van for the next 3 years. I read it here that it was a great car. Maybe you guys were luckier, but mine is deffective and neither American Honda or the dealer want to get it resolved unless I hire a lawyer...

Too strange! I've been a frequent visitor to this forum for a few weeks now as I'm looking to buy a minivan this summer. Then I saw your message...

I grew up in Coral Springs and lived in Coconut Creek until 2005 when my wife and I moved to Colorado. I am VERY familiar with the CS Auto Mall. I had two HORRIBLE experiences there - one at Honda and one at Nissan - where they played the hide-your-keys, lowball your trade, make you feel stupid games.

BOTH TIMES they wanted me to write them a $500 "good faith" check before they would negotiate a deal - you know, "to show I was serious." I thought the first time was a fluke so imagine my surprise when I went back years later and they played the same game.

BOTH TIMES I walked right out the door and never heard from them again. Sorry about your experience, but I don't trust those guys at all...

I bought a 2007 EX-L last night at Keenan Honda in Doylestown , Pa. rondavenportkeenanhonda.com

I did it via their internet dept (Mr. Davenport) . No hassel price was 27,700 inc destinatin charge. Keenan had a a number of colors to choose from in the lot inventory , which were the internet cars. Of the four local dealers I worked with, Keenan was most competitve and by far the most professional.

Internet Sales straight forward, fast, efficient.

EX in Georgia by gavanmom

We are looking for an EX in Georgia. The lowest over the phone quote has been $27450 out the door price. We have a 7% sales tax so that seems pretty good. Has anyone heard of better or know of an sales for this Memorial day weekend? Also, does anyone know if any Georgia dealers give the $500 off for active military like Ford and Toyota do (even if you don't finance through them)?

I'm going through the same process with a Touring now and will post my results when all is done. Definitely go to the Open Road Honda (Edison, NJ) website and get an InstaQuote. If nothing else, you can use that for leverage in your negotiations with many of the other dealers who will match any bona fide offer.
