Hey midwest buyer - can you tell me where you got your great deal? I am in the market (in the midwest) for an Odyssey and have had the same problems that you did with regard to internet quotes. After stopping at two dealers, one was unwilling to negotiate and the other has just started out at invoice. I do not have a trade in so I was hoping to buy under invoice as many of the buyers on this site did and would like to get a quote from your dealer.

In addition, I am trying to find out if the navigation system is worth the extra cost. We do quite a bit of in state travel with kids in sports. Any suggestions?

Did I get a decent deal in Portland, Oregon? by makila

I just bought a 2007 Ody EX-L RES in Nimbus Gray for $30,305.

That includes the destination charge, cross bars, cargo tray liner, and mudguards. It does not include the $218 for TTL.

I originally did not want any accessories and the price was $30,100 but the Ody already had them installed and the dealer was willing to negotiate.

I keep reading all these posts about people getting their Odys for under $30,000 but then again they're in different parts of the country.

Did I get a decent deal? I tried to do my research and I feel good about my purchase but I also second guess myself. I got the 3.9% for 60 mos financing. No trade-in. I put $4400 down also.

Thanks for reading!

The wife talked me into the EXL Res. I suppose I will appreciate it when the baby is older. Roush came in at $30, 100 for me. Keep in mind if you service there, you essentially get a 7 year warranty. I got a local dealer (Cleveland) to match and got KBB for my trade on 98 Camry.

I to am waiting to find out what incentives are in store for April. I live in one of the 18 states (Wisconsin) where Honda decided not to offer special financing.

I've gotten 3 different quotes via the internet sales at 3 different dealerships for the Odyssey EX L. The average price quote is $29200 not including dest. charge, tax, and options. Reading some of the purchase prices in this forum, surely the NW isn't that expensive! I haven't dealt with car salesmen in over a decade so is this just a starting price for internet sales? Pricing over the internet is certainly new to me.

Although prices in your area have been reported as relatively high over the past couple of years, lately some posters here and elsewhere have indicated that they have come more into line with the rest of the country. Suggest that you expand your search and get some more quotes.

I think it depends how you solicit your quotes. If you simply ask for a price, then you'll get a higher quote. If, on the other hand, you send an e-mail saying you want an Odyssey EX-L for under 29K with destination in a certain color - then just wait for the replies. Furthermore, I would send that e-mail out to 10 dealers closest to you. You might do better.
