I had the EXACT same experience with AB as ody_man_out, just a few days later. As a matter of fact, our Ody's shared the ride from Canada to Somerset, KY. Same dates, same price, same driver (Lonnie is pretty cool), same great experience with Tracy and Barry. I highly recommend them. The only differences are that I got Granite Green and the HondaCare 7/100/0 (for $875). Oh, and I drove home 1100 miles to MA. Consider mine broken in. It was worth it to me to save the $1500, have a definite delivery date so I could sell our old car (waiting lists are too iffy) for $1600 more than trade-in, and I really needed some time off, so the ride home was a welcome relaxing experience. The scenery was beautiful this time of year, and Kentucky is pretty close to picture-perfect. None of the problems mentioned in the forums, the Ody is great! I just had to wash all the bug splats off the front - luckily they don't grow 'em that big around here. The only complaints I have about the minivan is of course the sound system - Honda should be embarassed, I think the AM radio in my '76 Chevette sounded better, and the front driver's side of the floormat that doesn't cover all of the floor - what were they thinking? Ride, noise, fit and finish, and performance were all fine. Now it's time for the accessories... |

| Please post a list of dealers where I can get Honda Care 7/100,000/0 for less than $900. I also need ths site where I can print the check list for Honda EX. We are expecting our GG EX soon. | |

I recently purchased a 2001 EX (Mesa Beige) from a dealer in Oklahoma for $750 off MSRP, plus I made them throw in a cassette deck to seal the deal. The vehicle was on the lot at the time (in fact, they had two), and they'd had it about 2-3 weeks when I finally pulled the trigger on the deal. They are now awaiting shipment on another Ody EX, but have since sold the other Mesa Beige one. A competing dealer in the Oklahoma City area didn't have our color preference in stock at the time, but quoted me $750 off over the phone if I'd get on the waiting list. E-mail me for more info if you'd like. Hope this info is helpful. By the way, we have 5-month-old twin daughters and the Ody has been a godsend. |

| See my post #1227. Supply is definitely catching up with demand as evidenced by the fact L.A. area dealers have unsold Odysseys in inventory, something unheard of just a few months ago. There is absolutely no reason to pay over sticker any longer. Also remember that the internet or fleet sales manager can get you better prices than if you were to walk off the street and tried to haggle with the floor salesman. Good luck. | |
| With the gas prices for premium(93) more than $2, I am planning to fill odyssey with 87. Did any one ever fill 87 in odyssey? | |
| I recently put a deposit on an EX model with navigation. It is to arrive at the dealer next week. I was able to get the dealer to agree to a price of $28,000, $840 below invoice. They are expecting about 30 Odysseys in over the next 3 weeks and most are unsold. I was surprised how easily they agreed to my offer. I might have even been able to get them down to $1000 below MSRP. My initial offer was $28,000 and they accepted it, I was actually expecting them to refuse my initial offer any try to get $500 below MSRP. | |

Looking for good prices in the Houston area, any help is appreciated. Have 2000 LX with 42k and use only 87 octane. Ave. around 24 MPG. Ideas on the best value for new tires? |

I'm looking to buy a Starlight Silver LX *before* mid-July. I was thinking we might get a little more bargaining power going for 2 vans at once and may benefit from swapping notes. I've sent out around 20 emails to dealers and received 6 replies so far--just one from a dealer who will discount a little off MSRP. Hopefully, they will keep coming. I've also contacted Alton Blakley in KY, as I don't mind driving to save some money. Invoice (including dest. charge) is $21,706. I think $23,000 strikes a good balance between profit for the dealer and good deal for me. What do you guys think? |

I'll be ready to buy an odyssey in July... but should I wait for the 2002 model (assuming I can still get a 2001). Did anyone hear if there are changes in store for the 2002? Thanks, Parker |
