I ended up purchasing from the dealership in Wilson, NC. I purchased an EXL RES for 30215 after tax tags and license. Sanford Honda was willing to go this low, but everyone else I checked with said they could not match that price. I see from another posting that someone paid much lower for their EXL RES in Ashboro, NC(29200). I would check them first, then check with Wilson. Wilson will also locate the vehicle at that price without a locator's fee. The salesperson that I spoke with was very friendly and easy to deal with. I think that Goldsboro had a black and a white EXL RES on the lot. I am pretty sure that Wilson can locate a White EXL RES since the lot that they got mine from also had a white exl res on it. Dealers not willing to work with my price: Goldsboro, Greenville, Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Burlington. I sent you an email to your carspace email account. Also: you mentioned you have a Kia Sedona which I am assuming you will trade in. I had a trade in, but I ended up selling for $2500 above my trade in value before I bought the EXL RES. |

| $26,700 included destination, mud flaps, and wheel locks. Had several offers in this range, but ended up with Community Honda in Orland Park, IL. | |

I am not sure my prior message made it, so if this is a repeat please ignore. I paid $24,500 (incl. dest.) for an EX with cloth at Riverside Honda. They had plenty of colors. Hohen Honda sp? in San Diego offered $25,300. I think Pacific Honda would have met the $24,500, but I already bought my car. All of the other Honda dealers in San Diego sent automatic responses with no quote or declined to meet the above price. |

Just bought my EX-L +DVD from Leith Honda in Raleigh. Paid $28,750 + 3% tax + $74 tag + $398 doc fee. Only paid for mudguards and got the wheel locks for free. I did all the negotiations by emailing with their internet sales manager and he is great guy to work with. None of the other dealers could quote me below $29k. When I picked up the car at the dealership, no hassle whatsoever and the price is exactly the same as he gave me in the email. The only sales speech I hear is when i was signing the paper work with the sales manger and he tried to sale me the ext warranty. It is 100k or 7 yrs extended wty. and I bought it for $1600. I didn't take the time to negotiate the price as we thought it was a ok price and we also took advantage of 2.9% rate. Overall, i had a good shopping experience. Reading others experience from this forum helped me a lot and I wish I knew this forum before I bought all my cars.

You can cancel your contract with the Raleigh dealership and purchase this one. Here is the web site: http://www.warrantydirect.com/ It is slightly limited, and has a $100 deductible, but when you actually look at what is covered, it is very well worth it. It won't cover: DVD player coolant system rear suspension antilock brakes fuel delivery interior/extrior features. But here is what is covered: emission sensors wear and tear failures engine transmission drive axle steering front suspension brakes (other than antilock) air conditioning all electrical seals and gaskets damage due to overheating plus other things like towing/car rental etc I think this covers nearly everything that is likely to cause a problem with operating the vehicle. The higher coverage for $1200 includes everything except: Battery; shock absorbers; manual transmission clutch assembly; friction clutch disc & pressure plate; throwout bearing; manual and hydraulic linkages; safety restraint systems; glass; lenses; sealed beams; bulbs; brake rotors & drums; weather strips; exterior body parts/ornamentation; paint; upholstery & carpet; tires; wheels/rims; exhaust system. My guess is that this is equivalent to what you got for $1600 and was referred to as bumper-to-bumper coverage. |
