| I guess I didn't do so badly giving my dealer a little more on his bottom line. I wonder what kind of pinstriping "art" I can get for another $497 ........... :>) | |

| When I was shopping for our Odyssey in January all the dealers in the Atlanta metro area were adding the $895 (additional dealer mark-up). Bought our Odyssey from Alton Blakley in Sommerset, KY for $1000 below MSRP ($25,840). However, I understand that they are now only discounting to $500 below MSRP. You would still save $1400 for a day's drive. They are good folks and I would highly recommend. | |

Hi, Everyone I am shopping for a Honda Ody. + Nav in the Bay area. I checked both Oakland Honda and San Leandro Honda, all want MSRP + $1000. Anyone has recently Ody. purchase experience in the SF Bay area? Is it a good deal? Anywhere I can find a dealer who is willing to sell at MSRP? Thanks HT |

DOES ANYONE HAVE ADVICE ON GETTING A GOOD PRICE ON LONG ISLAND? I CAN GET MSRP BUT WITH A 2-6 MONTH WAIT. DOES ANYBODY SEE A PROBLEM WITH LEAVING A DEPOSIT FOR {A WAITING LIST} WITH MULTIPLE DEALERS, THEN GOING WITH THE ONE THAT DELIVERS FIRST. HAS ANYONE HAD PROBLEMS WITH GETTING YOUR DEPOSIT BACK FROM THE LOSING DEALER? |

I picked up my GG EX last Monday from Honda East in Cincinnati after a 6 week wait. I showed up at 7pm with my wife, kids, and checklist in hand. This was the first time I had seen the dealership, as all activity was conducted via email or phone up until then. There were 4 Odysseys that I could see there, including a demo. Mine was already washed up and had the roof rack cross bars installed. We finished up the loan application and gave insurance info to our sales rep. We went out and got a introduction to the features and learned how things worked. We took the van for a test drive while they processed the paper work. We came back about 20 minutes later, and everything else was ready for us to sign. We signed the papers and were out of the parking lot by 8:10 pm. When we got home, we realized that we forgot to write the check for the downpayment! I called the dealership right away. They knew why I was calling, and told me to mail it to them in the morning (the dealership was 25 miles from home, so hand delivering it was inconvenient). This was the most painless car purchase I have had, new or used. I would highly recommend Honda East and Lou Ann Robb, who handles Internet Sales for the dealership. My bottom line: Van - $26,090 ($750 under MSRP) Cassette - $ 229 Crossbars- $ 79 Hondacare 7/100/0 - $ 900 Cargo Tray - FREE Financed 60 months Given the time I ordered my van (early March), I was told I hit a gap where the Odyssey supply briefly exceeded demand for this dealership. I was also told that demand at their store has picked up a lot in the last 3 weeks, and that people will not be getting $750 under MSRP. You can still get under MSRP, but I'm not sure how much at this point. Happy shopping! |

| Very few dealers in the Bay Area sell at MSRP. You may have to broaden the search. I had an LX at sticker last week, it was a big surprise! Wrong color, though, and my client turned it down. If he only knew! | |
| Looking for a good dealership in either Northeast Florida or Southeast Georgia. Has anyone had a recommendable experience within 100 miles of Jacksonville? Looking of a 2001 EX for MSRP or lower. Thanks | |
