I am looking for an EX in Eastern, PA. I am in the Allentown area. What is a recommended price? I see Honda has a recent mfr. to dealer incentive of $500. Thanks.

I went to a dealer today and they quoted me $27,000(+ Taxes + dest) for new EX-L with out dvd/nav. I was not happy and walking out of the deal then they offered me $27,000 ,Inclusive of every thing (OTD). I told them I will come back tomorrow. Is it the best deal in the bay area?

That deal sounds too good to be true. $27K for EX-L Out-the door? I would hope it's sitting in your driveway now. If not, I would have to wonder why!

Bought EX-L for 27000+TT from Boch Honda MA by jb05

Hi,

Thanks to this forum I was able to get my odyssey EX-L on 06/30.

We went to Boch Honda in Norwood on 06/28, to test drive and select color. Decided on slate green / olive (wife reallyyy liked these colors). On 06/29 I emailed around 20 dealers in the area about the best quote and availability of the color in stock.

After number of emails / calls I could get a quote of 27k (which includes destination and doc fee) from Herb Chambers in Boston. As Boch is one of the closest, I decided to give the Boch sales associate a call. He said he had the color in stock and promised to match the price. We went there on 06/29 evening, saw the actual vehicle in stock, and he reduced price of the van to 26700 and added 300 for doc fee to make it 27000 + 5% tax + 86 registration fees.

Picked up the vehicle on 06/30. Extremely happy with the transaction and the van. Thank you very much guys.

Anybody in MA has bought extended warrenty? I am trying myhondawarranty.com and getting quote of 800 for 7yr 80k. Is it good price?

JB.

South West Michigan Purchase by ironchef65

I'm looking to buy an EXL in the next day or two. So far my best quote has been 29,500 OTD (Michigan taxes are 6%). Not too many high volume dealers in this area, and I really don't want to travel out of state. Anyone picked up a EXL in SW Michigan for a better deal? I plan to pull the trigger this Wednesday (before the $500 Man to Dlr rebate expires)

Also, if the the offer is 29,500 for EXL OTD, what would be a fair price for EXL RES OTD?
thanks

By the way, this forum has been very educational, just havent seen anything posted for Michigan (could be that whole big three thing )

What's "no BS lowest sale"? Did you try Penskee Honda. I live on the south side (Greenwood) and the offer from Indy Honda as you said was not really good. I thought the one from Penskee was the best in the Indy area (31012 includes taxes and everything). Did you get any addtional stuff (warentees etc.) from the Columbus dealer?

Thanks

I opted not to take any additional warentee from the columbus dealer. I called Penskee and Honda West with the #'s I got from columbus and was told "thats a good price, sorry I can't match it."

I got bids from every dealer in IN as well as some in OH and IL, the columbus dealer was the best out the door price with the options I wanted.

Shop around, if you feel you are getting the best with Penske than go for it. I would contact the columbus dealer and see what they will do for you. Don't be affraid to mention you heard about them from me. Jerry will give you a bottom $ quote and won't add in any extra $.

Make sure you get an itemized list of all expenses. This way you can get an out the door price and they wont supprise you with a big documentation fee. Go with the best quote you can get! Email me if you want more info.

Zachr:
That's a great story and very helpful. I'm getting ready to buy an EX in the Bay Area too. Your story gives me confidence to get an EX for under $25k. What does OTD and TTL mean? BTW, I had a very similar experience buying an Honda Accord several years ago from Oakland Honda - they agreed to a price over the phone, but tried to reneg on it when I got to the dealer. Also, it's deffinitely a bad idea to bring the wife and child to the dealer - they use that against you.

Thank you
otguy
