Even with the holdback factored in, the dealer took a loss of $1000 to $1500.   What's your secret? Live in New York area (Westchester/Putnam County). Looking for feedback (price, availability etc) from anyone who may have purchased an EXL in our area. Any dealers to point us towards or to avoid? I talked to him today and said I'd come get it immediately if he'd still do it. He told me "around" 31000 now, and 28200 for a plain EXL. I asked him if he really would have sold it Saturday for that price, and he told me he would have due to some promotion. I guess I'll never know! For the poster asking where it was, it was Lute Riley on Central in Richardson. I'd love to tell you the salesperson, as he was not pushy, knew his product, and didn't bash the competition, but I just saw a note that we're not supposed to do that... can I give initials?? I finally got to the last message in this thread, and have noticed that nobody has mentioned advertising fees in the invoices being discussed.
