Just picked up our EX-L w/ RES. Added mud flaps, wheel locks and rear cargo tray. $30,400 OTD including these options, 3% tax, doc etc. Basically them down to $29,100 (excluding tax and tags)and before adding cargo tray and mud flaps. Was able to have them waive doc and destination. I started by calling the AAA car buying service. Used this as the low # and only one dealer could beat it. I went with them. Very quick and painless. Did have to fight off the attempts of the "closer" to try to sell me extended warranty, fabric protection, lojack, etc. Passed on them all. |

We were van shopping last night, and had a Honda dealer in the Dallas area try to keep us from leaving by offering us a 2006 Odyssey EX-L w/DVD and Navigation for the MSRP of a regular EX,$28,945. This is a lot more than we were looking to spend, as we originally set out to find an 04 Odyssey, so we felt like we could not commit to that much on the spot. Did we screw up? Judging from the posts I've read in this forum, it just seems like there's no way he would make that deal, as the invoice on the van in question should be about $31673, I think. Does anyone have enough knowledge of Honda dealers to know if that deal is even possible? |

So you're talking $3000 then than I paid for mine...or better yet......$6200 off MSRP. But you're right.....that does like either the van has already been involved in an accident and repaired....or the deal is just too good to be true. If it were DC, Ford, GM I might believe they could do it, but I don't think I've ever heard of Honda or Toyota going that far below invoice. |

| Laff66, I too am in Dallas looking for an Odyssey. Please post the dealer you were at. Maybe they are at least trying to hit some goals and used that price to lure you back in? They might be a great place to go and work a deal out. Let us know. | |
