Free1,

I was told the same thing in MD/VA/DC area for the same vehicle. I bought my van for $30,743 from Mike Pruitt HOnda in Ohio. The lowest quote that I received was $33,100 for the vehicle. I passed on "their offer" and purchased the van last week and picked it up yesterday.

Love the van with Nav. Very helpful.

I say, it the deal saves you over $2000, then it is worth driving around 6 hours like I did; but if you are saving less that $1500, then it may not be worth it for some people.

"They tried to sneak on the "Ourisman Appearance Package" for $1,400+ mentioning it quietly on the contract at the end. "

Amazing isn't it? Ourisman and Coleman do the same thing...I guess that some folks bite on it.

Last to last week I was with Crystal Lake Honda and I waited about 30 min to meet some sales rep. Finally we agreed to a price to buy my dream car 2006 Pilot EXL-RES. The color I wanted was not in there stock and they told me that they will arrange the car and give me a call. Last week I got the call from sales rep. that they have found my car and I can come to get the del. But before signing all the papers, I said I want to see the car first and he took me to the car and that time he told me that car has almost 200 miles on it which I didn't like and I wanted some discount but they refused to talk. I felt little rude and even finance guy was also rude. Was not a pleasent exprience with Crystal lake Honda. Now I am again in market and looking for new car. Wasted lot of time with Crystal Lake Honda with NO result. I hope this helps. Now I have changed my mind from SUV to Van.

I can see a couple of errors here.

First of all, you should have been informed that by doing a dealer exchange then there would be miles on the car. At that point you should have raised concern.

Secondly it didn't sound like you had a deal before they did the DX.

Next time you should be more specific if the dealer need to DX a car...which will make them either respond or reject the deal...thereby saving time and energy.

What DX stands for? I had all the deal done with signed contract, that the reason they rejected the deal when I asked some discount on 200 miles.

The term DX means dealer exchange. When you sign an agreement prior to a DX then its only natural for the dealer to expect that you would stand by what you agreed to...unless you had stipulated before hand that there was to be only X miles.

Dealers are'nt going to go to the ends of the earth to do dealer exchanges, it's expensive to do them, and there is an inherient risk in doing them.

The sign agreement with dealer was 12 miles on the invoice, but at the time of deleviery it had 200 miles and there was NO vechile sticker from the manufacture on car window.

ok so let me understand this. You signed an agreemnt with a dealer, and the "invoice" said 12 miles...right? So you saw the factory invoice and it said 12 miles? Did your agreement have the VIN of the car on it?

Was the car cleaned up when you came in for delivery? If so then the Monroni Label (window sticker) might have been in the glove box. This is where our clean up guys put them.

What am I missing here?

Yes, the Invoice said 12 miles, but this invoice is from the dealer not from the factory and that time VIN number was not on the invoice as the car was not with dealer because of my color combination and I said dealer that I can wait for next lot from factory.

Yes, when I came to pick the car, the car was washed. I read on some forum that only customer is allowed to remove the wondow sticker (Monroni Label) or infront of the customer.
