Living in Columbus, I'm within two hundred or so miles of Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Detroit, Indianapolis, Louisville, and Cincinnati. There's alot of stores (and competition) within that radius. |

I am thinking about buying an Odyssey. I would really like to have power adjustable pedals but cannot afford a Touring. Does anyone know if this can be added to an EX-L. I am only 5 feet tall so adjustable pedals would be very useful for me.

We just picked up our 2006 EX-L Slate Green Metallic Odyssey from Herb Chambers Honda in Seekonk,MA today and I thought I'd share our experience. We got a price of $27,500 which included the destination fee, plus addt'l doc. fees of 230 something dollars.(sorry don't have the paper in front of me) They were AWESOME!!! No pressure, polite and respectful, and helpful. It was a real pleasure working with them. Let me also share the name of some dealers who were awful. Boch Honda in Norwood,MA. They started off great. Got us a vehicle to test drive quickly. Once we got back and sat down to talk, he would not give us a price unless we committed to buying that night. He said "I just don't give out prices unless I know your serious" I told him fine, we're outta here and he quickly went to get a sales manager who wasn't much better. Another one to stay clear of is Silko Honda in Raynham,MA. They gave me an online quote if $27,800 incl. destination charges, but not incl. the addt'l $244 in fees. The salesman was fine until we asked him to tell us how much they would give us for our trade. He kept waiting quit awhile only to tell us they would give us $500. We laughed, got up to leave, and told him thanks but NO thanks. Of course he went running to a sales manager who came over and proceeded to tell us it was a good deal. We told him what we wanted for our trade to which he didn't agree. When we started to leave he said what if I give you $$$ for your trade (increasing the amt.) will you buy it today. At that point he had been so rude and arrogant with us that he could have offered us what we wanted and we still wouldn't have bought from him. In the end Herb Chambers in Seekonk beat Silko's price by $200 and gave us what we wanted for our trade with absolutely NO HASSLE. We would highly recommend them. Lori |

I've read on the forums where the Odyssey's aren't getting the mileage they say. What are they getting? I really wanted a Suburban but couldn't afford the gas although they can take the E85 gas which costs less and Honda can't. I'm thinking about the 2006 Odyssey EXL R&N. Are all the leather seats heated? If not I might go with cloth..LOL..thanks Kim

Replying to: animalrescue (Feb 21, 2006 10:46 pm) Samba2 has been doing a great job listing and updating prices paid for this model. The list is below (just for EXL R&N 34,595 MSRP 31,123 INVOICE 33,370 Edmunds TMV 32,473 Carsdirect-60014 32,173 Carsdirect-47129 32,073 Atlanta 32,029 NJ - FREE All weather floor mats 31,173 Cleaveland OH - Mike Pruitt Honda 31,120 Ohio - Honda of Mentor 31,073 Cleaveland OH - Mike Pruitt Honda 31,037 Chicago - Crystal Lake Honda 30,868 Cleaveland OH - Mike Pruitt Honda 30,729 Chicago - Crystal Lake Honda 30,600 Cleaveland OH - Mike Pruitt Honda I got mine from Mike Pruitt Honda for $30,868. I am having it shipped from Akron, OH to Norther Virginia ($300). I still save about $1500 - 2000 compared to the dealers here, which sells closer to MSRP. Black van looks very sharp, esp with Ivory Leather...but black scratches easy and is hard to maintain. That is why I chose the silver. Hope this helps.

Replying to: cds12 (Feb 21, 2006 9:12 am) 1) I can understand where a dealer typically does'nt want to be underpriced by another and lose a sale, but how competitive can I expect them to be when the selling price is below invoice (if I threaten to travel a few hours away to get a better deal - which I am not opposed to)? I assume that I will need something in writing/email from the other dealers in order to be taken seriously? 2) If it is commonplace to get an Odyssey for approx $500 under invoice, then is the 'invoice' cost we use as buyers really what the dealer pays, or is there usually some kind of cusion, that still makes selling the vehicle at this level feasible? Will the dealer actually lose money on the deal (in hopes of making it up on a subsequent customers)? Again, my apologies for some ignorant questions, but perhaps I am not the only one pondering over some of these things. Thanks again for this boards insights!
