You can usually do everything through the web and via phone once you have the dealership narrowed down. Also some dealers will quote prices that do not include destination or fees...make sure you have the on the road pricing. Good luck to you. |

Just got my new car last night. 25,545 (Inc Dest+Doc). TTL is extra. The dealership was great, they helped with getting a rear camera installed. The car also came with a few extras, Muds, Roof Rack, Pin stripe etc. Was shown the dealer cost of the Roof Rack as 240. I think I could have gone lower as I had 3 dealerships competing for business, but I liked this dealer. They were sincere and priced low from the start. I called Mike Pruitt but they couldn't match and this dealer is just around the corner from me. Ex Cloth 25,545 Ed Voyles, Atlanta. Ask for the sales person who sold a blue Odyssey on the 10th of Feb He is very professional. Tell him that the couple who purchased the Blue Odyssey sent you. I also want to mention the other dealers who were close on price. Hennessy Honda, Woodstock GA. (I think they could have beaten the price I paid). Willett Honda, Morrow Ga. (Very friendly) Personally there were 3 important points to consider: SERVICE + PRICE + CONVENIENCE If the service is good than its worth paying extra for the other 2 points.

Just picked up an EXL R&N in Bay Area for 32700 - incl dest and moon visor. Made a rash decision to go with the xzilon protection at the last minute ( doh! ) but overall happy with the deal. Its black ext. so xzilon seemed like a good idea at the time. |

Does anyone have any experience with College Park Honda in MD? They currently have a 0% financing deal on new Honda's. I got an Internet quote close to the TMV. I haven't tried to negotiate yet as I live a fair distance away and haven't made it into the dealership. At 0%, I would be saving lots of $ on not paying any interest on this purchase. It all seems too good to be true. Does anyone have any experiences with this dealer? Do they have the 0% deal often? I am in no rush to buy this car as baby #2 is only due in a couple more months but I don’t want to miss out on this 0% rate. I have never seen Honda's with a 0% deal before. If you need to finance the purchase, why wouldn't everyone in the DC VA MD area go to the dealer? What am I missing??? I haven't seen anything mentioned at all. Thanks for any insight! |

Replying to: r3050 (Feb 11, 2006 4:56 pm) They have in the past "bought down" the rate...which means that they charge you more for the Ody, relative to the interest rate and say that you are getting 0%. For example, lets say that a EX Ody sells for 26,000 and the current interest rate is 5% The 0% game is like this they sell the car for 29,000 and "show you" 0% rate. Again, this is just a simplified example. There is a reason that College Park doesn't have evryone beating down their doors...but that's games that DC area dealers play.
