We have had a great buying experience with Mark Roberts Honda in Bartlesville, OK. [an internet dealer - markroberts.com]. The price we agreed on for a 2006 EX-L, including trade in, was lower than the deal offered by either of the Honda dealers in Albuquerque. The Roberts company promotes itself as a straight shooter, and, in the elusive world of auto deal honesty, that is a hard road to hold. In our case we ordered an ocean mist color. When we drove our trade-in into the shop there was a little trepidation. After all, they are getting the first real time look at the trade-in. There is always the chance that they will find something off so that they can offer you less money than what they had agreed to pay. That did not happen. They inspected the care, came in and told us a couple of things that they thought might have undervalued the car, but said they were not significant enough to lower the value of the trade-in. It took a bit longer than expected to get the van ready to drive home. We took a break for dinner, and, when we got back it was dark. The salesman had driven the van outside and parked it. He was there waiting for us. We tried the keys. They did not work, and he had them reconfigured. We hopped in the van for a long drive home. The next morning we looked at the van, and it seemed more green blue. We also had inspected the van more thoroughly and discovered that they had given us a slate green van with a rear entertainment system - not an option we had purchased. The VIN numbers did not match with the retail sales contract. We notified the company. One of their staff had made an error. But they agreed to eat the loss without a quibble, and we ended up with a RES unit - no need to drive back to OK, no need to argue about the rights and wrongs - they simply did what they thought was right, and gave the customer a benefit rather than a hassle.

Try Hugh White first (and/or last). Several folks (including myself) have reported fine prices there. Marysville Hona might also be worth a try. Haven't heard of good prices at either Roush or Immke. Honda East has been advertising heavily of late and may be trying to correct problems they were having over the past year (when they drove many customers - including myself - away).

I'm about to pull the trigger on the following deal, but I'm a little concerned by all the quotes at invoice...2006 Touring with Nav and RES:
$36,647.00 + 299.00 Doc Fee + free splashguards, wheel Locks, cargo tray = $36, 946 +TTL.

They're giving me about $2k over Edmund's TMV trade-in value on my 2005 MDX ($30k).

Any thoughts before I throw 37 grand out the window?

Hello,

Can you tell me what dealership gave you that pricing. I live in the Kansas area (10 hours drive away from Chicago). At $100 under invoice, I can fly there & drive the van back!

Thanks,
Das M.

Florida is a tough market. The best figure I got last spring for an EX (ultimately not purchased by my father) was at the store in Daytona Beach (can't recall the name).

Stay clear of Space Coast in Cocoa.
