Replying to: mich_chow (Aug 10, 2005 11:46 am) Please let me know the following: -Which state did you buy this in? -Do you feel the Van is too big and difficult to park? Are you happy with the turning radius?

Replying to: vrm (Aug 10, 2005 2:34 pm) -- Indiana -- It is a bigger vehicle, especially from the one that I have been driving (98 CR-V EX), but it is not difficult to park or maneuver. No complain about the turning radius. I do remember that I had to back up (and I love the rear camera!) once because I could not make a complete turn, but it is okay and I think the turning radius would be large for a larger van like this (or any other van, right?). -- I am specially impressed how quiet and smooth the ride is -- may be it is just me -- but after reading so many posts that Ody is not smooth and quiet, I was expecting not so quieter and smoother ride, but I'll take it Yes, I am totally loving this van.

Replying to: vrm (Aug 10, 2005 2:34 pm) the 2005 Ody has a tighter turning radius than my 95 honda accord. I have a cul-de-sac(with cars parked in it) that I have to make a U turn on and Ody is easier to turn around than my accord. Also the tighter turning circle helps when reversing out of a parking spot. Having driven smaller cars before, I do have difficulty parking, especially since the vehicle is very wide, but that is just the nature of the beast. There is a specific manevure one has to do when parking to ensure that the vehicle is parallel to the parking spot, I am getting better every week. |

Replying to: batball (Aug 10, 2005 8:02 am) You make it sound so simple and it isn't. As an example, the 1999-2004 NAVI Odysseys weren't a huge seller. Most people had no use for a NAVI system it seemed. For whatever reason, however, all of a sudden demand has SOARED for these! Once honda and the dealers realized this, it was too late to scramble up production on them! a lot of suppliers are involved etc. A lot of smart marketing people watch the trends and react accordingly but it's tough! Then the car magazines and other reviewers com out with articles heaping praise on the new Odysseys and demand go's through the roof! So, inventories suffer as Honda scrambles to increase production! I guess this is a "good" problem to have but it's frustrating for everyone. And, nobody is "flogging" customers with "ridiculous" prices either or this situation wouldn't exist! We wouldn't have empty lots if this were the case. |

I just purchased a Redrock Pearl Touring Ody with RES & NAV from Honda of Mesa (Phoenix, AZ area). They price matched the lowest email offer |

| Anyone notice that the '06 Odyssey is now listed on the Honda website? | |
