Agreed, that's not a good deal. I am also on the hunt for a LE 7 Pass FWD with EVP 2 in the NYC area. All EVP 2s come with alloy wheels in this area. Some will have additional options like carpet which will total to about 28,000 in MSRP. I have gotten quotes of around 24,800 for such a equipped LE with EVP 2. And this is for brand new 2010, not 2009. Most dealers in the NYC area are out of 2009s.
rolz, where did you get that deal in NJ? I am trying to do better than 24,800.

I think the deal varies by region, but if you could get a 2010 model around the invoice price with no hassle right now, it should be good. Toyota normally don't run incentives on new Sienna models until the end.

s2kmr2---Does your $24,800 quote include the $1K rebate in NY right now? If not that sounds OK to me. I checked Consumer reports and they list a 2010 LE with option #2 and 16" alloy wheels as ~$24,700 invoice.
Can you let me know the location/dealer--maybe I can use this to negotiate with my upstate NY dealers. Or Rolz--any recommendation on your NJ dealer? thanks in advance!

wingsneck95--did you also get any salvage money for your cash for clunkers car? I read online that the dealer is also supposed to give you the "scrap value" for you vehicle--whatever that is. Also surprised you were able to cash in already--my dealer told me the gov is not rolling this out until 7/24 or possibly later. I have a '98 Jeep that I want to cash in and hoping the dealer will give me the $3500.

Thanks! I emailed them for a price quote and got a call back very soon. We might go there to take a look during this weekend.
Thanks again!

gasser1,
thanks for your post, very informative.
This was the first time I've seen that the Sienna costs more to insure than the Odyssey. I'm guessing that it's due to the crash test results.
The lock out feature on the NAV is a real bummer. Nissan/Infiniti does the same thing. They should have an override feature or a sensor in the passenger seat.
I have an 05 Odyssey Touring and have been fairly satisfied with the exception of: PAX run flat tires, the brakes, road noise/suspension, fuel efficiency.
The PAX and the brakes have been discussed ad nauseum on this site so I want pile on there, but I really thought the fuel efficiency would be better with the adjustable cylinder engine (don't recall the technical name but our version shuts down half the cylinders under certain situations to save gas). I think we're averaging around 18 - 19 mpg, mostly city miles.

BTW: i just checked on insurance rates with USAA and there really wasn't much of a difference. I checked on a 2010 Sienna Limited and 2010 Odyssey Touring and the monthly difference was only a dollar between the two. So if you haven't purchased one yet and you're trying to make a decision, check with your insurance company first since it looks like the premiums may vary widely from one company to another.
