Anyone know if 2010 will be redesigned sienna or is that 2011?

Any rumors of what incentives for the month of June?

Thanks

Can dealerships take out the mats, emerg kits, and cargo nets so you didn't have to pay for the extras? Or, do they need to keep them with that particular vehicle? I truly have no clue!

That's probably more trouble for them then it's worth. If they don't find a buyer for all of those items they're going to eat the loss.

It IS their fault. They should have located the customer's vehicle with the options he wanted before letting the deal get that far!

If they traded it was what another dealer ordered, not them, plus they have to make do with what is currently in stock. Purely a crap shoot.

Unless the buyer is willing to factory order and wait 6-8 weeks (which I've done once, and you get exactly what you want and just that), that's the best any dealer could do.

Why blame the dealer?

In this economy I doubt that. Dealers cannot just turn customers away like that.

I'm sure the deal was pretty bare-bones and didn't leave enough margin for them to eat the loss on the options he didn't want.

They gotta pay bills, too, and feed their families. We can't sit here and get below invoice prices and then expect them to drop another $3-400 just because a very specific color/model/option package isn't on the lots right now.

To conclude - if you're not flexible about color/model/options it may be harder to get as good of a deal. Don't you think?

Ateiexiera you are right about being flexible. But should i be spoken down to? questioned whether or not i got phone quotes or really spent time at another dealer? Why cant some of these places (not all) use courtesey first? I try not to waste peoples time. I walked into this place, told them what i was offered and if they could do better. I dont want to waste my time, nor theirs. do they really have to get all bent out of shape over that? I do not think so, and if anything I will take my busines elsewhere in the future. I just got another quote today, that was 1000$ lower than curry. So it seems to me they are trying to get over on me. and personally I do not like that. I work hard for my money, and I want to spend it wisely. thats all for now.

The dealers I talked to told me the 2011 will be redesigned, the 2010 will be basically the same. You can even google it and there are a few articles about it, although it doesn't seem like its going to be that much different, just more options available. As for incentives on 09s, I don't know how much more they are going to offer since they have cut production on the 09s and there aren't that many left anyway (as my earlier post I couldn't find a XLE within 500 miles of me)

I just bought a 2009 XLE AWD Lmtd w/package #2 (nav and rear entertainment) for 35500 (only 4500 more than the prices we saw for the XLE) + taxes + tags. I am unhappy with the run flat tires, NAV system limitations, and lack of XM radio. It has ~1500 miles on it now (had 1100 when purchased). I wish I had done more research on the tires and the NAV system before I bought. There are only two options for all weather tires and both are rated poorly compared to most all weather tires. I think I notice that they do not ride as nicely as our old 1998 Chrysler T&C with Michelins. There are a large number of complaints of poor durability and replacing a tire can be a major hassle. As for the NAV, most of the NAV system features are disabled while the vehicle is in motion but if you are driving alone you are more safe to not use the NAV system. Unfortunately, if you have a passenger they can't do searches for restaurants. The voice control commands do not cover these functions. If you want XM Radio, satellite capable does not mean you have a XM radio. It cost another $500 for that option. It seems like this should cost Toyota about $100 more to include. Honda's higher end Oddysseys both come with XM radio by default.

I am hopeful that my experience with the tires will not be the same as the people who have had problems. I may just be seeing the worst of experiences posted. I have found ways around the NAV limitations and the XM radio was not a "must-have" feature. I still believe the Sienna is a great vehicle. However, had I known about the run flat tire problems, I would have waited and bought a 2010 Sienna XLE Package #3 FWD.

If you can get by with the FWD, I would recommend you avoid the AWD and run flats.
