I chose to 'reply' to this one because it's basically what I told my wife when she was trying to decide between the two cars. Honestly, I think we would have been happy with either vehicle but for us this was the better choice. I was very happy with my Odyssey and I'll actually miss it a little bit, but this Sienna is absolutely gorgeous and I think we'll enjoy it just as long as we did the Honda.

I did a bit of research on edmunds.com and a couple of forums and it looks like the best deal is $3000 off MSRP. I'm going to ask for that plus the $1000 off customer incentive.   Is this a reasonable offer or am I way out of line?   Location:NYC Model: 2009 FWD Sienna CE or LE   thanks!

I got White with Gray interior, 8 passenger seating. I truly dont think there is the Beige interior available, though it should theoretically be available, because I really wanted White, and wanted to compare Beige and Gray inside, went to 3 dealers but none had Beige. So gray was fine. Overal buying experience and price were OK, I think.   Sienna drives fine, smooth, comfortable.... thats all good. However, after driving after a little bit, i start to hear engine humming noise. Sometime it happens, sometimes not, you can hear more on uphill acceleration, or acceleration from crusing speed. This is not the normal engine reving up, its weird noise. Sometimes i hums real loud. I've not taken it in because simply sometimes you dont hear it. I have a friend who has a 2007, who also has this problem, and he's got 150K miles. Also some poeple posted here few years back also had this problem, with no solution. So i just want to bring this up   chris

I appreciated the info I was able to gather from this forum while shopping for a 2009 Sienna LE 8 passenger, so I thought I would share how we fared.   We are in southern Indiana. We were seeking the above model with EVP #2 and daytime running lights (RL). We have purchased it for $26,165 OTD (approx $24,200 without TTL).   We only have one Toyota dealer who is local, but I solicited e-mail quotes from 13 dealers within a 75-mile radius. Initial quotes ranged from $26,592 OTD to $27,667 OTD. (Note: only 3 of these dealers had the LE8 on the lot. The actual options/packages with the quotes varied somewhat, but all had at least what we asked for and usually the towing prep package, too, for a minimum MRSP of $27,200. All quotes mentioned below are OTD, so include all tax, license, fees, and rebate.)   I contacted the dealer with the lowest quote, from about 70 miles away, by phone to see how much lower he could go, and he offered $25,865, which includes the $1000 rebate. I then phoned three other out-of-town dealers to see who could beat that. They all were very dubious at this quote, and expressed skepticism that it would really be honored! (I know from this list that this quote, at least compared with other regions, is good but not by any means incredible, though it seemed to be considered a stretch in these parts.)   Only one of the three that I phoned actually lowered his quote from $26,886 to $26,401. Finally, we went to our local dealership in person to do one more test drive and discuss a purchase. We showed him the lowest quote and asked what he could do. He came back with $26,165 OTD. It was $300 more than our lowest quote, but we decided that the savings in time not to go to the out of town dealer was worthwhile.

hey gang, I am trying to get a handle on the price for a 2009 toyota sienna LE with the extra value (or options) package #1 (basically with one powered sliding door), and Allot 16" wheels. the best price ive gotten was 24,200 with destination charg included. is this a good deal? thanks for any advice.. oh btw, this is in the westchester NY NYC area. thanks in advance!
