Greetings. Excellent discussions here. Thanks for keeping it very interactive. Question: Let's say I have two cars: * A (leased) * B (purchased. Making payments. Not yet paid-off) (They are different makes. Brand shouldn't matter, but just in case ... they are Mercedes and Toyota) When the lease of A ends, and I wish to purchase it, can I ask them to take "B" off of my hands? Will it work? Will they offer the trade-in amount? I have a situation where if I purchase "A," the other car becomes redundant in my household. I'd hate to have to sell it in the open market - not enough time in a day! Please advise. Thanks. |

Hi, I'm getting ready for pull the trigger on a new XLE with option #3 this week at invoice + TTL. Dealer is offering a 7/100 extended warranty for $1400. Can I pickup this elsewhere for less? I purchased the extended warranty online for my last Odyssey and saved lots of $$ but after searching this forum, I see a post regarding purchasing from Greenville Toyota but no other specifics. Any other options for me out there? There are also some references regarding a website call siennaclub.org but the site does not appear to be valid any longer. Any other site with info for a new Sienna owner? Thanks

Replying to: marko44 (Feb 23, 2009 6:46 pm) I purchased an '08 Prius, in Sept '07, and got the extended warranty at 50% of what they asked earlier. I'm in Southern California. After we'd done talking about the price, and I was "escorted" from the sales office to the financing center, I expressed my interest in three things: * Extended warranty (that covers battery. I was afraid that it might die on me. My paranoia!) - $1,400 * Prepaid service - $500 (including all oil changes and major services at 15k and 30k miles. Offer valid at the same dealership only) * Bluetooth - $300 (I'm guessing these numbers) I offered 50% of the total, and they agreed right away, making me think there may have been room. So, offer 30-40%, and wait to see their reaction. Good luck. By the way, what deal are you getting? I am also in the market.
