The dealer told me that tax rate for Sienna LE AWD is 7.4%, different from the 7% tax for FWD. Do you guys think it makes sense? PS. I am in NJ. |

Replying to: inquizativeguy (Aug 21, 2008 9:34 am) I contacted the person at Molle Toyota identified at this link: Molle Toyota I also contacted the person at Danville Toyota identified at this link: Danville Toyota. Hint: get quotes from both and go back to the higher one and with the lower quote and you should end up lower than $580 for the warranty I talked about. The dealership you buy the car from makes bank from warranties. When I bought my Sienna they wanted $1650 ($300 more than MSRP) for the 7/75 Platinum and offered to "give it away" for $995 (and then the "mistakenly" wrote 6yrs instead of 7) when the actual cost to them is probably between $500 and $550. They are getting double or triple the money for a product that they don't have to stock or keep inventory on and when claims do get made on it, the money comes from Toyota and will likely go to their own service department. They push it hard because it is a win-win-win all the way around for them. |

Thanks for the warranty info. I plan to purchase. On Tuesday, I purchased a 2008 xle evp#1, drl, spoiler, fog lights, mats and door sills for 29988 otd. Initially I was quoted 26224 (excluding ttl)(fitzmall-pa). However when I got there they claimed that there guaranteed price for 26K included the 1800 rebate. I took the 0% instead. I think I did ok. I didnt purchase anything extra. The extended warranty was $1275. So far so good. I plan to go to circuit city for the 11"' jensen overhead dvd - $599 including installation. I purchased a garmin for $250-costco. I called toyota they want $2300 for in dash dvd and rear entertainment. Question, do I really need to go to the dealer for xm radio installation?

I contacted a dealership in SC to purchase an 08 sienna and was told that they were not offering the 0% financing. They acted as if they didnt know anything about it. Is that possible? I thought that all manufacturer incentives were nationwide. Yet they were offering the $1800 rebate.

Replying to: forbidden (Aug 21, 2008 1:14 pm) To find out for yourself what specials are applicable to your area go on the Toyota website, under "Shopping tools" look for "Local Specials" and enter you ZIP code. Then look for the Sienna from the list and you can see if they are offering special rate financing in your area. |
