I got almost the same van, except w/o tow pkg. I think you should try to dicker at least another $500 off that price.

Also, my advice is to never buy any of the additional packages the finance manager is trying to sell. Those are major moneymakers for the dealer and can be gotten cheaper elsewhere if you really want them.

No it's an LE. Per Edmunds TMV Pricing the audio upgrade (17" alloys, JBL 10 Speaker Stereo, DVD Wireless headphones, rear parking sensor) goes for about $3000. Total TMV price with options = 28,337 (+ tax 5.5% & fees) and (- 1800 rebate). My cash price is 28,239. By the time you add tax and fees, there is only about $200 worth of rebate left. Taking us down to 28,039 out the door. Am I missing something? Also does the Tow Prep, include a receiver and wire harness? I didn't think it did. Dealers website says it does. I can't find this info on Toyota's site. Edmunds dosen't mention these items either. To me the "receiver"is the hitch and there is most certainly not on on the van we looked at. My guess is the dealers site is wrong.

The tow conversion mainly consists of upgrades to the radiator, transmission cooling and wiring, but I do not believe it includes the actual hitch and receiver. Someone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

Ignore Edmunds TMV for the Sienna. It underestimates the dealer's willingness to unload these vans. The price you are talking about is close to the invoice price and you can get these for below invoice if you work at it... I got mine more than $800 below invoice a month ago. Mine is the LE 8 passenger with EV2 and Audio upgrade, DRL w/ windshield de-icer and floor mats, but does not have the towing upgrades.

I I was able to negotiate the following price at a bay area dealership this weekend. (it fell thru for some unrelated issues) but I just wanted to let you know what I negotiated to help you all.

XLE with pxg 1 (the leather package) plus day time running lights
$ 27,300 (before TTL) and I got the 0% financing.

I hope this helps.

Extended warranty prices by akin

I purchased a 2008 Sienna Limited last night and also opted for the 7 year 75 Mile Platinum Warranty from Toyota. This basically extends the 3 year / 36,000 mile bumper to bumper ($0 deductible) to 7 years and 75,000 miles. I was able to get it for $750 and have it included in the 0% financing.

$760 is not too bad, but going online I got the same warranty for $580. With as many gizmos and gadgets to break as my van has, and the Limited has many more, the price seemed worth it for the extra security especially since this will be used for family road trips and Toyota does not offer towing or rental coverage in the standard warranty.

Molle Toyota and Toyota of Danville are the outfits that will sell the warranties at great prices online. I'd suggest poking around on the Sienna Forum website to get more information on who to contact since Edmunds restricts putting contact information up.

Are you sure that is for a Platinum warranty? Toyota has three different types of warranties.
