Finally got the deal I was wishing for from the dealer. I had the '04 VW Touareg to trade-in and no one was willing to give me what I thought it was worth. Anyway, the dealer in Naperville, IL gave me the most value for the trade-in, $2100 over Carmax! Here is the breakdown of my Salsa Red XLE Limited - $36,067.00 plus tax, title, lic, CRV, and doc fee. XLE Limited w/ options FE-emissions, GV-XLE Limited base model comb, HZ-Laser Cruise/HID headlamps, QL-XLE package #2, RM-daytime running lamps, TH-power third row seat, and CF-floor mats. |

In the SF Bay Area, paid $250 over invoice for a located Limited AWD with EVP #2 and HID/Laser + Towing and mats (and pearlescent paint). Called fleet managers around the Bay Area, and the best bottom-line deal I could find over the phone was at Capitol Toyota for $250 over invoice. All other dealers were $500-600 over. I called Toyota 101 in Redwood City and had them match the $250 over, but locate the specific car from another dealer. Within 2 days we had it. Painless! They made plenty of money, too.

Replying to: joec8 (Nov 15, 2007 12:01 am) Some dealers also get bonuses for large volumes. I paid $32543 with all taxes and fees, which included $500 to bring one in the color we wanted from another state. I actually got an offer for $31800 on a model with a different color (already on their lot.) Invoice - $1500 on a 07' is not stellar for the dealer, but this model is at the end of its life and they need to offload those pretty quickly before the year is over. |

Here is the price I paid for Sienna 2008 LE, in Austin ,TX. Hope it would be useful for others: Total $25,712 (before tax). This includes the options: AL (Alloy wheel) QF EVP package #2 (power sliding door on both sides) RL (daytime Running lights...) CN Cargo Net CF (carpet mat) S6 (security System Upgrade) PV (glass etch) I2 (texas state inspection) Basically I got $2500 discount on the MSRP, bringing it to about $200 less than invoice.
