I sense you're gettng the message, but...

YES, you are getting taken. None of us would buy that used car.

Here's a good way to get an idea as what you should be paying for a used car. Go to www.fitzmall.com This is a very, very reputable dealership in the greater Washington DC area that sells Toyotas. Used the drop down box and look at Sienna's. You'll see what they are charging for vehicles at various trim levels.

You'll notice that on a new '08, they are charging BELOW invoice. So you can use that as a guide when you deal with dealers in your area. I can tell you that I have looked at '08 Sienna's myself and had no problem getting an offer at invoice--I'm sure if I was ready to buy, I could do better than that. However, we decided that if we are buying, we're going to go with a new 2007 Honda Odyssey, which are currently selling at over $5000 off MSRP thanks to a $2000 Honda rebate.

Sorry for beating you up. Heres an internet ad for our local toyota that is known to price their autos below invoice. I bought 2 from them below invoice in the past.

I don't know what the CE lacks but it is very interesting how much cheaper they are. Maybe they have a bench seat instead of buckets and some other features.

All you have to add to these prices is tax tag title and 599.00 dealer fee. I am pretty sure the dealer fee is not included. But thats it. The CE price is just very nice to me.

Note on the bottom they break up the rebates etc to get to the price. This dealership actually sells their autos at this price. Plus the dealerfee added later I think.

That fitz place has a great price out the door as well. But you have to add tax it does bring it up to 27k+

Ok I see the difference between ce and le I did a comparison on edmunds.

To tell you the truth the only option I like in the LE is
cruise control. I myself would get the CE and have the cruise option. Many of those other features can become problem issues in the future with sensors going bad etc.
I am going through that now myself.

But there is a long list of things on the LE that make the price acceptable. I hate my daytime running lights.

privacy glass
driver seat power not available ce
heated mirrors
cruise optional
steering wheel audio
seatback storage
traction control
stability control
engine immobilizer
daytime running lights

I agree. My price for the same exact package, out the door, was $26,060. They jerked me around for several weeks and I told them I knew what they were paying for it invoice. They finally gave in and I got exactly what I wanted. If I had not researched the prices I would have been paying $2500 over the price.

The dealer told me the Invoice price for a 2008 Sienna LE was $24,741 when it was in Edmunds for $24,147. He claimed he was giving me $295 below invoice. When I questioned him I told him I thought they transposed the last 3 digits and he said for brand new models Edmunds source of data is often wrong. The invoice price of the 2007 was $300 higher than the 2008 model so maybe he was telling the truth.

I can't see how to get your exact figures, but are you in NC, SC, GA, AL or FL? I think you have to add about $700 to the invoice price in those states, it's on the Edmunds options page though. So are sure you entered your van and location info correctly in Edmunds, and that you were talking about the same van with the dealer?

Anyway, the Edmunds numbers are correct, if the dealer says they are not he is mistaken or more likely he is lying. Plenty of people have bought vans based on the Edmunds numbers.

Yep, make sure that you can live without any of those things listed before you decide on a CE, cause you won't have them on a CE. You can opt to have privacy glass, I believe, but you'll have to negotiate for it, something I didn't know about when I got mine. Cruise control came with mine, and I activated the DRLs with some help. I kinda do wish I had some of the other goodies, BUT, the CE is what I can afford right at the moment. An engine immobilizer would be nice, considering I've already had one Sienna stolen from me!
I hope that those suggestions help you in your decision!

What is the extra 700 in our State for ?
Is it the SouthEast distributor thing ?
If so, how does Toyota let them get it away with that ?
We have had 3 siennas know and it grinds me to pay them 700 bucks to etch the glass
