We bought an Le FWD pkg. 3 on the 1st of Sept. and paid 25,000 after rebate +TTL in Nashville Tn. We live in Memphis and this was the closest dealer to take my offer of 25,000. We didn't have the luxury to bargain too low a price because there just aren't many around here, none in Memphis like we wanted(2 CE and 1 Le Pkg. 2)and were pressed to get the 2,000 rebate before it expired. On the Siennaclub.org forum, I read where a lady bought one around April or May for 24,500 some odd dollars and I just told them I knew they could make money on 25,000 and they took it. The dealer there claims they are the the biggest in 37 states and that they like volume. They had to get it from another dealer and one dealer here in Memphis could do it too but they wouldn't come off 26,700. I believe you're getting a good deal you better hurry while you can.

Hi. I just read your post and am right now negotiating for the same van you purchased. $24,426 OTD is what you paid including tax and license? If so, do you mind me asking what dealer you bought it from and if you were happy with the experience and the salesperson? I also live in the SF bay area. Thanks

Sounds good to me. Your price is about $450 lower than the lowest price I found back in May.

2008 Toyota XLE Limited AWD w/EVP #2 and lots more - $37,613 - DELIVERED by barneym

I picked up my new minivan on 9/5/2007 from Copeland Toyota in Brockton, MA. I dealt with a sales manager via emails at first and then was passed off to a salesman to close the deal. Here is the final breakdown on what I paid:

2008 Toyota Sienna XLE Limited AWD

HZ – Laser Cruise Control / HID Headlamps
QL – Limited EVP #2 Package (NAV / DVD / JBL / Backup Camera / 115V Outlets / Bluetooth)
RL – Daytime Running Lights
TO – Tow Prep Package
CF – Carpet Floor mats

MSRP: $41,919
Sale Price: $36,532

Other Dealer Installed Options w/costs
XM Radio - $430
Mudflaps - $177
Cargo net - $35
Remote Starter - $439

Price w/ extras: $37,613

MA 5% Tax: $1,880.65

Registration and Title Fee: $136 (includes extra $50 for Red Sox plate)

Doc Fee: $250

7yr/100K Mile Warranty from Toyota: $1,595

Final price: $41,474.65

Got 5.24% on 72 month loan from Alliant Credit Union so monthly payment came out to about $673.

I got to thinking about the warranty when I started to list out all the fairly expensive mechanics on the vehicle (power sliding doors and liftgate, Bluetooth, Nav, DVD screen, Laser Cruise Control). These are all the kind of systems where neither the parts nor the labor is cheap. I don't plan on keeping it for seven years, but it will help me move this loaded van at a premium in the used market when the time comes if I can offer a transferrable warranty.

I hope my posting has helped others get good deals as I feel that I got a really great deal given that the 2008's just arrived.

In response to your question "Did anyone see this coming?", in early August, I did suggest the possibility that similarly equipped 2007's and 2008's would be about the same price, even with the 2007 rebates.

Link to post from August 4th 2007

In some instances, this is indeed the case.

Pricing for 2008 XLE by kristeno1

Can the very supportive readers on this site comment on a price I am negotiating for a 2008 XLE with EVP Package #3 (including EVP #1 leather seats/sunshades, EVP #2 moonroof, and #3 with DVD entertainment system and two 115v outlets). It also includes foglamps and floor mats and alloy wheels and special color.

The price we have recently received is
30,749.60 Invoice (including $735 delivery and $750 Southest admin fee)
+300 Taxes
+399 Doc fees
+25 license
+2.5% of invoice (basically their profit) = 768.74
+350 dealer installed backup sensor (couldn't find one that was factory installed)

Total = $32,592.34

They don't seem willing to budge on the 2.5% over invoice level, and I can't tell if it is reasonable for a 2008.

I was getting lost of LE's for $300 above invoice when I was shopping (north California) last month and expect the same may have held for XLE's. However, that may have been before there were enough 2008 models to take up dealership floor space - so they may give you better rates.

Try asking for invoice + 300 anyway.

There are several things I'd try to negotiate: First, the $399 "Doc fee". It's a junk fee, pure profit for the dealer. Their cost to handle the paper work of the sale is negligible. Second, the dealer receives money back from the manufacturer known as a "holdback" after the sale of the vehicle. Should be at least $500 on the Sienna. Adding up the doc fee, 2.5% over invoice, and the holdback they are making at least $1700 on the vehicle. I just bought a 2007 Sienna LE 8 passenger for dealer invoice minus $150 and the dealer still made about $400 on the sale.

Internet one-price dealer in FL or Southeast? by siggie1

On this thread I've seen references to Internet one-price dealers such as Fitzmall.com and Brownscar.com. Does anyone know of a similar type of Toyota dealer in Florida or anywhere else in the Southeast?
